<p>Whether one washes their hands or not, it does not make a person unclean. It is a matter of being pure before God or not.</p><p> </p><p>What makes a person unclean are the things that come from within them. A dirty heart makes a person's heart impure – it is not the dirty hands of the disciples that make them unclean.</p><p> </p><p>Therefore, even though the disciples ate without washing their hands, it did not make them unclean. Rather, it was the dirty hearts of the Pharisees.
