런던 큐 가든. '큐 가든의 봄은 언제나 아름답지만, 특히 4월에서 5월 사이 체리 워크(벚꽃 산책로)를 따라 튤립이 만발한 잔디밭은 제가 가장 좋아하는 풍경이다.'

🌸🌸런던 큐 가든(Kew Gardens)의 체리 워크(Cherry Walk)는 봄철 런던에서 가장 아름다운 벚꽃 명소 중 하나로, 주로 4월에 절정을 이룬다. 큐 가든 내 온대 하우스(Temperate House) 근처에 위치하며, 사탕 빛깔의 핑크빛 벚꽃들이 길을 따라 아름답게 피어난다. 봄(특히 4월)에 런던을 방문한다면 필수 코스로 꼽히며, 벚꽃이 터널을 이루는 풍경을 감상할 수 있다. 런던 남서부의 유네스코 세계유산인 큐 가든의 조용한 자연 속에서 벚꽃을 즐기며 산책하기 좋다. 체리 워크 외에도 큐 가든은 50,000종 이상의 식물을 보유하고 있으며, 팜 하우스(Palm House) 등 다양한 유리 온실도 방문해 볼 만하다.

5. Pebble Island, Falkland Islands. ‘These magellanic oystercatchers were completely inseparable as they foraged for insects and other tidbits. Although all the other oystercatchers seemed to be very busy with chicks, these two apparently had no parental responsibilities and were simply enjoying the spring sunshine, wind and worms.’ # Jennie Wright

9. Akagera national park, Rwanda. ‘An African fish eagle living up to its name. After a slightly disappointing tour of the park (no giraffe or elephant sightings), we took an additional boat tour on the lake. On my way home from an uplifting protest I came upon this visually arresting piece of creative activism at the Peace Officers Memorial. It served as a sharp reminder that, even though the day had been a wonderful gathering and powerful expression‎‎ of collective solidarity, there is still a lot of work to be done.’ # Adam Scarborough

미국 미네소타. '2026년 3월 28일 세인트 폴에서 열린 노 킹스(왕은 없다) 시위. 고양된 시위를 마치고 집으로 가는 길에 나는 평화 경찰 기념비에서 시각적으로 눈길을 사로잡는 창의적 행동주의 작품을 발견했다. 비록 그 날이 멋진 모임이었고 집단적 연대의 강력한 표현이었지만, 아직 해야 할 일이 많다는 것을 예리하게 상기시켜 주었다.
