White Fang is dog that look like a wolf. He is grey in color, unlike his siblings who are all red. He lived with Indians. When he lived with them, White Fang couldn't learn about love, kindness or affection. All he knew was power. He must obey his master, named Grey Beaver, or else he will be punished. In that situation, he learned to oppress the weak. He became smarter and wilder. Soon, his siblings all died except him because of hunger. One time, White Fang had a change to have freedom. He ran out and enjoyed his freedom. But, soon he realized he was lonely and hungry and there's no one to stay with him. White Fang just went back to Grey Beaver. In December, Grey Beaver journeyed with his son and wife. There were two sleds. Grey Beaver drove the first sled, while Mit-sah, the wife of Grey Beaver drove the second, smaller sled. White Fang was also a part of the sled team. But, one time White Fang bit the hand of a boy who was chopping a frozen moose meat with an axe, and white Fan took some of the meat that hand flown away. Suddenly, the boy came to him and beat him. White Fang bit the boy's hand. Soon, the boy's family came and sought vengeance. But, Grey Beaver defended him. White Fang learned that it's the way his master will protect him. From that time White Fang became more wild. However, he was sold to Beauty Smith and White Fang known as "The Fighting Wolf." No other animals could win against him until he fought a bulldog named Cherokee. He almost died in that fight but two men Weeden Scoff and Matt came to rescue him. They began to live together. When they lived together, White Fang learned about the love and opened his mind toward human. He grew to be a calm, poised wolf who knew the law and how to show love to his master.
While reading his book, I learned that I should be a good example, 'Not only animals but, also human learn things from adults or their parents.' If adult show not good things, then young will follow what they are doing. It's not their intention to always follow adult. But, it's natural thing just like we are learning how to eat and speak through our parents. I think that's why being a good model to the others is important. From now, I should be a good model to students who are younger than me and espeacially as a believer.
