There are several table manners to keep in mind when having meals with other people. First, if you are eating with people who are older than you, you should wait for them to start eating first. It is considered impolite to eat first. Plus, making noises while you eat is considered rude. Slurping or smacking is frowned upon. You should also not pick at your food. Next, as we use chopsticks when we eat, it’s an important that we use them the right way. The chopstick should be parallel to each other when you hold them up. Last of all, it is always a good idea to excuse yourself when you have to leave the table first.

• Slurp : 후루룩 소리내다.(라면먹을 때처럼)

• Smack: 쩝쩝거리다.

• Frown : 인상을 찌푸리다.

• Pick at one’s food : 깨작깨작 먹다.

• Parallel[패럴랠’] : 평행 parallel parking : 평행주차

• Excuse oneself : 양해를 구하다.
