      5. 語業

     若語業      是梵行者      梵行      則是起居問訊      略說廣說      喩說直說      讚說毁說      安立說隨俗說顯了說

     만일 말의 업이 범행이라면 범행은 곧 일상적인 생활에서 문안하고, 대강 말하고, 널리 말하고, 비유로 말하고, 직설하고, 칭찬하고, 헐뜯고, 방편으로 말하고, 세속을 따라 말하고, 분명하게 말하는 것이니라.

     If vertical activity were religious practice, then religious practice would be greetings, summary explanations, extensive explanations, metaphorical explanations, direct explanations, praise, criticism. definitions, explanations accommodated to conventions, clear explanations.

If vertical activity; 만일 말의 업이

were religious practice; 범행이라면

then religious practice would be

greetings; 곧 일상적인 생활에서 문안하고
