The way of glory for God’s heirs (Romans 8:15-17)
Only when Israel comes out of Egypt, passes through the wilderness, and enters Canaan will the promised words come to them and they will be able to plant and reap.
Because we abide in Christ, the law of the Spirit of life set free us from the law of sin and death, and we live according to the Spirit and not according to the flesh, thereby becoming the joy of God.
It is a miracle to enjoy life and peace by switching from the thoughts of the flesh to the thoughts of the spirit as a person who has been born again according to the atonement grace of Christ's cross.
Our salvation is all God's work of creation, and for us who are saved, it is a series of miracles.
Q. How can I call God Abba, Father?
“For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.’” (Romans 8:15)
A. Because Christ, the Spirit of the Son, dwells within us.
The spirit of a servant is a slave spirit, and can be seen as having the concept of slavery.
However, the son is given a willing spirit.
The problem is that it does not exist when you are under sin.
David confessed his transgressions to God and prayed for a willing spirit.(Psalm 51:12)
It is a blessing that cannot be expressed in words how great a joy it is to live a life dragged down by a sense of duty in sin, but then gain freedom in the truth and become a willing spirit.
From the Roman perspective, adopted children are legally the same as biological children.
Therefore, the fact that the Spirit of the Son of God is within us is a great blessing.
The sons of God always stand boldly before God the Father.
However, the slave spirit is always under fear, in an attitude of punishment.
Many people try to distance themselves from the throne of God because they have received the spirit of slavery.
However, the Spirit of the Son moves us forward step by step toward God the Father in terms time.
But everyone don't call God Father.
Only the son is called Father.
The Spirit of Christ and the Spirit of the Son are the same spirit, but their status is different within us.
The level of faith, or stage, changes.
So, ‘Our Father who art in heaven’ (Our Father who art in the heavens), this is the part we need to be most earnest and confident about.
Faith must always be confident and bold before God the Father.
This is the blessing of those who have the Spirit of the Son.
Blessings like this can be achieved only after going through Romans 1 to 8.
Therefore, faith must start from fundamental issues and follow principles.
Q. What is the basis for calling God Father?
“The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are children of God:” (Romans 8:16)
A. Because the Holy Spirit personally testifies (proves) that you are a child of God.
The communion of the Holy Spirit through confession of faith means communicating with each other, working together, and if you go to this level, your faith has developed greatly.
Let's see who catches up with us after we become sons of God.
In verses 1-11 of the previous part, when we say we are christians, it is confirmed that ‘our spirit is alive because of righteousness.’
However, when you become a son of God, the Holy Spirit follows you as a secret messenger of heaven.
After saying, 'God raised you', the Holy Spirit not only calls, ‘You are a son of God,’ but the Holy Spirit itself proves it.
And the Holy Spirit tells you the secrets of God.
The fact that the Holy Spirit proves that we are children of God is an amazing blessing.
In a word, God provides a guarantee of identity through the Holy Spirit.
However, Adam's descendants do not have the Spirit of God and the Spirit of the Son.
Since he does not have the Spirit of the Son, he cannot call God Father, but only God.
The Gods are different, the God Jehovah is different, the Spirit of God is different, and the Spirit of Jehovah God is different.
It is the same, but the level in which he appears to us is different.
The God of creation who created heaven and earth and the Lord of salvation who came to Abraham are the same, but their work are different.
That's why we talk about general grace and special grace.
God the Creator and the God of Covenant, He is the Creator God for all people, but for us, He is the God of the Covenant.
This is the difference between those who belong to Adam and those who are in Christ.
Therefore, the spirit of a servant must not enter first.
It is like a Jewish believer who is trapped by the law.
Judaism continues as it is until the end of the world.
It goes until all the scriptures are fulfilled.
After the full number of Gentiles has come in, the remnant among them will be saved (Romans 11:25)
This is because God said that only the remnant will be saved, even if they are like grains of sand in the sea.
Q. What are the conditions for God’s children to receive an inheritance?
“And if children, then heirs: heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ: if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.” (Romans 8:17)
A. Just because you are a christian does not mean you will receive an inheritance right away.
After it is confirmed that one is a son, the Holy Spirit follows and then inheritance comes.
When we speak, we see the complete dimension of salvation and believe and say that it is completed from a comprehensive perspective, but in Christ, there is a progressive element like this.
So, from God's perspective, the beginning is the end, but we take one step at a time.
This is God's progressive revelation for our salvation.
If you follow this point, it means that the installation of crown prince has been completed.
You become heirs and joint-heirs with Christ.
As God's heirs, you inherit Genesis chapter 1, the completed blueprint of the Bible.
Therefore, you can suffer with Christ.
God does not tell us to suffer unconditionally at random.
After God has already given us the qualifications to suffer, and has given us the blessings we are to do that, he now asks us to come with him.
We must thoroughly go through the process of dying and living together with Christ in Romans 6.
Suffering is a phenomenon that appears in the process of dying of fleshly desires and learning to live only by the Holy Spirit.
It is the valley of the shadow of death that mortify the flesh.
Legally, the Lord did it all before we were even born.
Now the Lord is telling you to follow me and come with me.
The Lord's will is to follow the Spirit and not the flesh, even when suffering or persecution comes.
In fact, this is your personal salvation.
It is the process of becoming sons of God who are recognized by God.
