The Avatamsaka Sutra, Religious Practice (범행품 17-1)

17-1.      16. 起大慈悲心     聞已      應起大慈悲心      觀察衆生      而不捨離      思惟諸法      無有休息      行無上業      不求果報      了知境界      如幻如夢      如影如響      亦如變化      또한 설법을 들은 뒤에는 큰 자비한 마음을 일으키나니, 중생을 관찰하여 버리지 아니하며, 모든 법을 생각하여 쉬지 아니하며, 위없는 업을 행하고도 과보를 구하지 아니하며, 경계가 요술과 같고 꿈과 같고 그림자 같고 메아리 같고 또한 변화와 같음을 분명히 알지니라. And after having heard about them should arouse a mind of great kindness and compassion and observe sentient beings without abandoning them, reflect on the teachings unceasingly, carry out superlative deeds without seeking rewards, comprehend that objects are like dreams, like illusions, like reflections, like echoes, and like magical productions.  And after having heard about them; 또한 설법을 들은 뒤에는 should arouse; 일으키나니 a mind of great kindness and compassion; 큰 자비한 마음을and observe sentient beings; 중생을 관찰하여 without abandoning them; 버리지 아니하며reflect on the teachings; 모든 법을 생각하여 unceasingly; 쉬지 아니하며carry out superlative deeds; 위없는 업을 행하고도 without seeking rewards; 과보를 구하지 아니하며comprehend that; 분명히 알지니라objects are like dreams; 경계가 꿈과 같고like illusions, like reflections; 요술과 같고, 그림자 같고like echoes, and like magical productions; 메아리 같고 또한 변화와 같음을
