(렘51:54-58)
54 "The sound of a cry comes from Babylon, the sound of great destruction from the land of the Babylonians.  55 The LORD will destroy Babylon; he will silence her noisy din. Waves of enemies will rage like great waters; the roar of their voices will resound.  56 A destroyer will come against Babylon; her warriors will be captured, and their bows will be broken. For the LORD is a God of retribution; he will repay in full.  57 I will make her officials and wise men drunk, her governors, officers and warriors as well; they will sleep forever and not awake," declares the King, whose name is the LORD Almighty.  58 This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Babylon's thick wall will be leveled and her high gates set on fire; the peoples exhaust themselves for nothing, the nations' labor is only fuel for the flames."  

NIV 성경에서 ‘name is the LORD Almighty’라는 표현은
렘32:18;렘46:18;50:34;51:57 5번이나 사용되었다 한다
여기서  ‘the LORD Almighty’ 라는 표현은
‘צְבָאוֹת (Tsva'ot, 츠바오트)’라는 원어(原語) 인데
 "군대의 여호와", "만군의 여호와", 또는 "하늘의 군대를 다스리시는 여호와"라는 의미를 담고 있다 한다

하나님은 오늘 ‘ For the LORD is a God of retribution’라는 표현을 사용하고 계신데...
바벨론의 파멸은 물론 전 세계의 흥망성쇠(興亡盛衰)가 다 하나님의 뜻에 따라 된 것으로
역사자체(歷史自體)가 하나님의 섭리사(攝理史)임을 피력(披瀝)하는 것
HNR은 ‘백성들의 수고는 헛될 것이요 민족들의 수고는 불탈 것인즉’라고 번역
NIV는 ‘the peoples exhaust themselves for nothing, the nations' labor is only fuel for the flames’으로 번역한 부분의 비교가 나를 더 풍성하게 함을 경험하게 한다

바벨론의 흥망성쇠화복(興亡盛衰禍福)
이스라엘의 그것과 
재기(再起)의 역사(歷史)
오늘날 미국과 연합하여 이란을 향한 이스라엘의 맹공(猛攻)을 보며
나는 이것 역시 하나님의 계획의 일환이라 여긴다
이는 마24:14 ; 막13:10 예수님의 말씀이 성취되게 하기 위한 하나님의 섭리(攝理)로 
내게는 보여진다

그런데...
그것은 하나님의 하시는 일이고...
그러나 나는
나의 그것에 대한 언행심사(言行心思)가 별 기여를 하지 못한다는 점을 생각하며
나는 나의 일에 집중
성경독청묵기적 왕제중양 언지신행일치 자왕파왕 하는일에
진아사대신명(盡我事待神命) 하는 것이 최고최선처신법(最高最善處身法)이라 믿고
묵묵정진(默默精進)하리라 마음 먹는다
