나의 기뻐하는 금식은 흉악의 결박을 풀어주며 멍에의 줄을 끌러주며

"Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice

압제 당하는 자를 자유케 하며 모든 멍에를 꺾는 것이 아니겠느냐

and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and

break every yoke?

주린 자에게 네 식물을 나눠 주며 유리하는 빈민을 네 집에 들이며

Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter

벗은 자를 보면 입히며 또 네 골육을 피하여 스스로 숨지 아니하는 것이 아니겠느냐

when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn away

from your own flesh and blood?

그리하면 네 빛이 아침 같이 비췰 것이며 네 치료가 급속할 것이며

Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear;

네 의가 네 앞에 행하고 여호와의 영광이 네 뒤에 호위하리니

then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of

the LORD will be your rear guard.

네가 부를 때에는 나 여호와가 응답하겠고

Then you will call, and the LORD will answer

네가 부르짖을 때에는 말하기를 내가 여기 있다 하리라

you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.

만일 네가 너희 중에서 멍에와 손가락질과 허망한 말을 제하여 버리고

"If you do away with the yoke of oppression, with the pointing finger and malicious talk,

주린 자에게 네 심정을 동하며 괴로와하는 자의 마음을 만족케 하면

and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy

the needs of the oppressed,

네 빛이 흑암 중에서 발하여 네 어두움이 낮과 같이 될 것이며

then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.

나 여호와가 너를 항상 인도하여 마른 곳에서도 네 영혼을

만족케하며 네 뼈를 견고케 하리니 너는 물댄 동산

같겠고 물이 끊어지지 아니하는 샘 같을 것이라.

The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.

산상수훈 The Sermon on the Mount 10. 좁은 문 A Narrow Gate

좁은 문으로 들어가라 멸망으로 인도하는 문은 크고 그 길이 넓어 그리로 들어가는 자가 많고 생명으로 인도하는 문은 좁고 길이 협착하여 찾는 이가 적음이니라 마태복음 7:13-14

"Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. "For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it. Matthew 7:13-14

오늘 본문에서는 좁은 문을 말씀하셨습니다. 가장 표면적인 구분은 좁은 문은 통계에 의해 선택되지 않는다는 것입니다. 즉 많은 사람이 택하지 않는다는 것입니다. 그러나 무조건 사람이 적다해서 그것이 주님이 말씀하신 좁은 문으로 들어가는 것은 아닐 것입니다. 과연 주님이 말씀하신 좁은 문으로 들어가는 것은 어떤 의미인지 살펴보겠습니다. 그리고 그것을 두고 길이 협착하다 하신 뜻도 생각해 보겠습니다.

첫 번째는 생활인입니다. 세상은 성공을 원합니다. 그러나 성공에 도달하는 사람들은 그 수가 많지 않습니다. 왜냐하면 그것은 자기를 꺾는 고통을 견뎌야하기 때문입니다. 그래서 인생들이 갖고 있는 좁은 문이라 하면 흔히 성공에 도달하기 위한 고생과 수고를 떠올릴 것입니다. 이는 모든 시험과 경기, 그리고 성취에서 보이는 현상입니다. 그러나 주님은 이런 성공을 얻게 하는 방법으로 좁은 문을 말하지는 않으셨을 것입니다.

다음은 종교인으로서의 이해입니다. 이들은 좁은 문이 갖고 있는 작고 좁은 특성을 욕심을 부정하는 것으로 여길 것입니다. 기독교인들은 십자가를 가장 중시합니다. 그리고 그것은 자기부인으로 이해됩니다. 하지만 이를 고통이나 금욕, 혹은 치욕을 감내하는 인내쯤으로 받아들입니다. 그리고 생각하기를 나의 이 고통은 주님의 고통에 비하면 아무 것도 아니라 할 것입니다. 하지만 이러한 인내의 근거는 자신의 의에 있음을 알게 될 것입니다.

마지막은 연합인의 이해입니다. 이 길을 찾는 이가 적은 것은 그것이 고통이기 때문이 아닙니다. 오히려 주와 연합함을 믿는 이들의 삶은 쉽고 편안합니다. 그러나 이 길이 좁은 문을 통과하는 이유는 주체가 자신에서 주와 연합한 자신으로 바뀌기 때문입니다. 성공을 바라는 생활인은 소유가 주체가 되고 도를 닦는 종교인은 자신의 의가 주체가 되고 주와 연합한 믿음을 가진 이들은 주와 하나 된 자신이 주체가 됩니다.

성경에서 남녀의 관계는 세 가지 의미를 갖고 있습니다. 첫 번째는 평등입니다. “부활 때에는 장가도 아니 가고 시집도 아니 가고 하늘에 있는 천사들과 같으니라.” 마태 22:30 두 번째는 연합의 의미를 갖고 있습니다. “이러므로 사람이 부모를 떠나 그 아내와 합하여 그 둘이 한 육체가 될찌니 이 비밀이 크도다 내가 그리스도와 교회에 대하여 말하노라.” 에베소서 5:31-32

그리고 세 번째는 그 방향입니다. “여호와 하나님이 아담을 깊이 잠들게 하시니 잠들매 그가 그 갈빗대 하나를 취하고 살로 대신 채우시고 여호와 하나님이 아담에게서 취하신 그 갈빗대로 여자를 만드시고 그를 아담에게로 이끌어 오시니 아담이 가로되 이는 내 뼈 중의 뼈요 살 중의 살이라 이것을 남자에게서 취하였은즉 여자라 칭하리라 하니라.” 창세기 2:21-23 이는 하나님의 은혜로 우리가 존재함을 드러냅니다.

우리가 주와 하나 된 자신으로 살아가는 것은 가장 자신다움을 회복하는 길입니다. 우리는 이 길에서 삶에 충실한 스스로의 모습을 발견하게 되고 그렇기에 이 길을 쉽고 가벼운 길입니다. 하지만 소유나 자신의 의를 주체로 하는 사람에게 이 길은 무기력하고 의존적인 것으로 여겨질 것입니다. 그래서 발견하기 어려운 것도 아니고 고난이 극심해서도 아니지만 찾는 이가 적은 좁은 문이 됩니다.

In today's text, a narrow door is mentioned. The most superficial distinction is that statistics does not choose a narrow door. In other words, not many people choose it. However, just because there are fewer people does not necessarily mean that you will enter the narrow door that the Lord has said. Let's see what it means to enter the narrow door that the Lord has said. And I'll think about the meaning of the narrow road tightening over that.

The first is a man of living. People want success. But those who reach success are not many. Because it has to endure the pain of breaking itself. So when you think of the narrow doors that life has, you often think of the hard work of reaching success. This is a phenomenon seen in every test, game, and achievement. But the Lord would not have said the narrow door as a way to achieve this success.

Next is understanding as a religious man. They will regard the small and narrow characteristics of the narrow door as denying greed. Christians value the cross the most. And it is understood as self-denial. However, I accept this as patience to endure pain, abstinence, or shame. And I think this pain is nothing compared to the suffering of the Lord. But you will find that your self righteousness is the basis for this patience.

Finally, it is the understanding of the Unionists. Few people find this path because it is not because it is pain. On the contrary, life is easy and comfortable for those who believe in unity with the Lord. However, the reason this path passes through a narrow door is that the subject changes from himself to himself united with the Lord. Living people who desire success are subject to possession, religious people who practice Tao are subject to their righteousness, and those who believe in unity with the Lord are subject to themselves unified with the Lord.

In the Bible, a relationship between a man and a woman has three meanings. The first is equality. "For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven." Matthew 22:30 The second is a union. "FOR THIS REASON A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER AND SHALL BE JOINED TO HIS WIFE, AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH.

This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church." Ephesians 5:31-32

And the third one is in that direction. "So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; then He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh at that place. The LORD God fashioned into a woman the rib which He had taken from the man, and brought her to the man. The man said, "This is now bone of my bones, And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man."" Genesis 2:21-23 reveals our existence by the grace of God.

Living as one with the Lord is the best way to restore our true self. It is an easy and comfortable road because we find ourselves faithful to life on this road. However, for those who possess or have their own righteousness as the subject, this road will be considered lethargic and dependent. So, although it is not difficult to find and the hardships are not extreme, it becomes a narrow door with few people looking for it.
