(울란바타르=연합뉴스) 임형섭 설승은 기자 = 이재명 대통령은 몽골 국빈 방문 사흘 차이자 마지막 날인 11일(현지시간) 몽골의 최대 명절인 '나담축제'에 공식 주빈으로 참석한다.　몽골의 자유와 독립 정신을 기리는 국가적 행사인 나담 축제에 우리나라 정상이 주빈으로 초청된 것은 처음이다.

행사에는 오흐나 후렐수흐 몽골 대통령도 함께 자리한다.

이 대통령은 김혜경 여사와 함께 나담축제 3대 종목 중 하나인 활쏘기 경기장과 몽골 전통 놀이인 샤가이 경기장을 찾아 몽골 문화를 직접 체험한다.

이후 이 대통령 내외는 후렐수흐 대통령이 주최하는 환송 오찬에 참석하는 것으로 2박 3일간의 몽골 국빈 방문 일정을 마무리하고 귀국길에 오른다.

(울란바타르=연합뉴스) 임형섭 설승은 기자 = 몽골을 국빈방문 중인 이재명 대통령은 10일(현지시간) 울란바타르 시내 한 호텔에서 냠오소르 오츠랄 몽골 총리를 접견했다.

오츠랄 총리는 오흐나 후렐수흐 대통령과 산닥 바척트 국회의장에 이어 몽골 내 서열 3위에 해당하는 인사다.

이 대통령은 접견에서 "한국과 몽골이 새로운 시대를 준비하게 돼 다행으로 생각한다"며 "(후렐수흐) 대통령이 말씀하시는 한몽 황금시대를 함께 만들어갔으면 좋겠다"고 말했다.

이어 "총리께서 실무를 총괄하고 계시니 어제 (양국 정상이) 합의한 여러 의제들, 특히 경제 교류나 광물협력 및 방위산업 분야 협력을 잘 챙겨주시면 좋겠다"고 당부했다.

오츠랄 총리는 이에 "양국 정상회담에서 합의된 사항이 실제로 실천이 될 수 있도록 관련 부처 장관들에게 지시하겠다"고 화답했다.

그는 "제가 부총리였을 때 한국에서 몽골과 한국 경제 포럼을 개최한 적이 있는데, 당시 인공지능, 정보통신, 희토류 등과 관련된 분야에 관련된 분들과도 만난 적이 있다"며 "'에르데네스 몽골'이라는 몽골 공기업과 한국의 포스코 간의 교류를 시작하는 일에 대해서도 대화한 바 있다"고 떠올렸다.

그러면서 "앞으로 몽골이 광물 자원을 더욱 이제 한국의 기술을 활용해서 가공해서 생산할 기회를 만드는 것이 중요하다"고 강조했다.

특히 오츠랄 총리는 "몽골의 행정 구역은 모두 21개의 '아이막'으로 구성돼 있다. 한 아이막의 인구는 6만여명인데, 그와 비슷한 6만여명의 몽골인이 한국에 체류 중"이라며 "그래서 우리는 22번째 아이막이 한국에 있다는 얘기도 한다"면서 친근감을 드러냈다.

아울러 "제가 2016년 국회의원으로 당선된 뒤 몽골 어린이들이 한국에서 일하는 부모님을 만날 수 있도록 하는 사회 책임 사업을 진행해오고 있다. 이 과정에서 한국 대사관이 아이들에게 비자 발급이 잘 되도록 도와줬다"며 "한국에서 거주하는 아이들을 위해 몽골 학교를 만들라는 지시도 교육부 장관에게 했다"고 소개했다.

Lee meets Mongolian PM, pledges faithful implementation of bilateral agreements

ULAANBAATAR, July 10 (Yonhap) -- President Lee Jae Myung met with Mongolian Prime Minister Nyam-Osor Uchral on Friday, pledging to faithfully implement agreements reached between the two countries to expand bilateral cooperation.

The meeting was held in Ulaanbaatar on the second day of Lee's three-day state visit to Mongolia, aimed at expanding bilateral cooperation, including in critical mineral supply chains.
​
During a summit with Mongolian President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh the previous day, the two leaders declared a "golden era" of South Korea-Mongolia relations and a shared vision for bilateral cooperation.
​
They also agreed to expand cooperation in the economy, trade and supply chains, including those involving critical minerals.
​
"I am pleased to see South Korea and Mongolia prepare for a new era," Lee told the prime minister, adding that he would be happy to work together to usher in a golden era for South Korea-Mongolia relations.
​
Lee also asked Uchral to thoroughly oversee the implementation of newly reached agreements between the countries, particularly those concerning economic exchanges, the defense industry and mineral cooperation.
​
In response, Uchral said he would instruct related ministers to ensure that the summit agreements are implemented.
​
The Mongolian prime minister also stressed the importance of building capacity to process Mongolian minerals and produce related products using South Korean technology.

Lee separately met with Mongolian parliamentary speaker Sandag Byambatsogt on Friday and stressed the importance of parliament's role in deepening bilateral relations, calling for its support.
​
"I hope the parliamentary speaker will take special interest in the development of South Korea-Mongolia relations and provide sufficient support," Lee told Byambatsogt.
​
Lee expressed hope that his summit with the Mongolian president will elevate bilateral ties to a new level.
