정청래 전 더불어민주당 대표가 민주당 차기 당대표 선거에 출마하겠다고 13일 밝혔다. 정 전 대표는 이날 국회 기자회견에서 “오직 민심, 오직 당심만 믿고 더불어민주당 당대표에 출마한다”면서 “다시 한 번, 더 강력한 개혁 당대표가 되겠다”고 말했다.

정 전 대표는 “개혁은 자전거 페달과 같아서 개혁을 멈추면 쓰러진다”면서 “개혁의 페달과 민생의 페달을 같이 힘차게 밟고 앞으로 나아가겠다”라고 했다. 정부와의 관계도 강조했다. “이재명 대통령에게 끝까지 의리를 지킬 사람은 선당후사를 실천해 온 저 정청래”라면서 “걱정하지 말라. 이재명 대통령과 찰떡궁합으로 합을 이루겠다”라고 말했다.

정 전 대표는 범여권 통합 필요성을 강조하면서 “통합할 분들과는 통합하고, 연대할 분들과는 반드시 연대하겠다”라고 했다. 또 “필요하면 결선투표제를 도입해 범민주진보 대선후보 단일화로 제5기 민주정부를 기필코 만들겠다”라고 했다.

2028년 총선을 앞두고 ‘1인 1표제’를 강화해 시스템 개혁공천을 만들겠다고도 했다. 정 전 대표는 “1인 1표제를 정착시키고 강화해 당내 계파 해체의 효과를 거두겠다”면서 “계파 보스에 줄 서지 않아도 되는 당원들의 상향식 민주적 경선으로 공천 후보를 확정하겠다”라고 했다.

정 전 대표는 당원들의 알 권리를 강화하겠다며 의원총회 실시간 생중계, 국회의원 의정활동 홈페이지 게재 등도 공약했다. 또 “전당원 투표제로 당의 주요정책을 결정하겠다”라고도 말했다. 이어 “오프라인 내란청산뿐만 아니라 인터넷 상의 사이버 내란청산 작업에도 박차를 가하겠다”면서 가칭 ‘사이버 클린 대책위원회’를 만들겠다고 밝혔다.
