마운드에선 2학년생 투수 두 명이 우승의 발판을 놓았다. 오른손 언더핸드 김동유는 선발로 4와 3분의 1이닝을 6피안타 2실점으로 막았다. 5회 1사 후 마운드에 오른 박상민은 9회까지 안타 3개와 볼넷 1개만 내주며 무실점으로 경북고 타선을 틀어막았다. 7회 1사 1·2루 위기를 좌익수 뜬공과 3루수 땅볼로 넘겼고, 8회에도 선두 엄태욱에게 안타를 맞은 뒤 다시 병살타를 끌어냈다.

결승전 승리 투수가 된 박상민은 4경기에서 1승, 평균자책점 0.82를 기록하며 우수투수상을 받았다. 박상민은 “내년에도 다시 청룡기 우승을 차지할 수 있도록 잘 준비하겠다”고 말했다.
