GENESIS47:1-31

1 Joseph went and told Pharaoh My father and brothers with their flocks and herds and everything they own have come from the land of Canaan and are now in Goshen요셉이 바로에게 가서 고하여 이르되 내 아버지와 내 형들과 그들의 양과 소와 모든 소유가 가나안 땅에서 와서 고센 땅에 있나이다 하고2 He chose five of his brothers and presented them before pharaoh 그의 형들 중 다섯 명을 택하여 바로에게 보이니3 pharaoh asked the brothers What is your occupation Your servants are shepherds they replied to pharaoh just as our fathers were 바로가 요셉의 형들에게 묻되 너희 생업이 무엇이냐 그들이 바로에게 대답하되 종들은 목자이온데 우리와 선조가 다 그러하니이다 하고4 They also said to him we have come to live here for a while because the famine is severe in Canaan and your servants flocks have no pasture so now please let your servants settle in Goshen그들이 또 바로에게 고하되 가나안 땅에 기근이 심하여 종들의 양 떼를 칠 곳이 없기로 종들이 이 곳에 거류하고자 왔사오니 원하건대 종들로 고센 땅에 살게 하소서5 pharaoh said to Joseph Your father and your brothers have come to you 바로가 요셉에게 말하여 이르되 네 아버지와 형들이 네게 왔는즉 6 and the land of Egypt is before you settle your father and your brothers in the best part of the land Let them live in Goshen And if you know of any among them with special ability put them in charge of my own livestock애굽 땅이 네 앞에 있으니 땅의 좋은 곳에 네 아버지와 네 형들이 거주하게 하되 그들이 고센 땅에 거주하고 그들 중에 능력 있는 자가 있거든 그들로 내 가축을 관리하게 하라7 Then Joseph brought his father jacob in and puesented him before pharaoh After jacob blessed pharaoh요셉이 자기 아버지 야곱을 인도하여 바로 앞에 서게 하니 야곱이 바로에게 축복하매8 pharaoh asked him How old are you바로가 야곱에게 묻되 네 나이가 얼마냐9 And Jacob said to pharaoh The years of my pilgrimage are a hundred and thirty My years have been few and difficult and they do not equal the years of the pilgiomage of my fathers야곱이 바로에게 아뢰되 내 나그네 길의 세월이 백삼십 년이니이다 내 나이가 얼마 못 되니 우리 조상의 나그네 길의 연조에 미치지 못하나 험악한 세월을 보내었나이다 하고10 Then Jacob blessed pharaoh and went out from his presence 야곱이 바로에게 축복하고 그 앞에서 나오니라11 So Joseph settled his father and his brothers in Egypt and gave htem property in the best part of the land the district of Rameses as pharaoh directed요셉이 바로의 명령대로 그의 아버지와 그의 형들에게 거주할 곳을 주되 애굽의 좋은 땅 라암셋을 그들에게 주어 소유로 삼게 하고12 Joseph also provided his father and his brothers and all his father's household with food according to the number of their children또 그의 아버지와 그의 형들과 그의 아버지의 온 집에 그 식구를 따라 먹을 것을 주어 봉양하였더라13 There was mo food however in the whole region because the famine was severe both Egypt and Canaan wasted away because of the famine 기른이 더욱 심하여 사방에 먹을 것이 없고 애굽 땅과 가나안 땅이 기근으로 황폐하니14 Joseph collected all the money that was to be found in Egypt and Canaan in payment for the grain they were buying and he brought it to pharaoh's palace요셉이 곡식을 팔아 애굽 땅에 가나안 땅에 있는 돈을 모두 거두어들이고 그 돈을 바로의 궁으로 가져가니 15 When the money of the people of Egypt and canaan was gone all Egypt came to Josepth and said Give us food Why shoold we die before your eyes Our money is all gone 애굽 땅과 가나안  땅에 돈을 떨어진지라 애굽 백성이 다 요셉에게 와서 이르되 돈이 떨어졌사오니 우리에게 먹을 거리를 주소서 어찌 주 앞에서 죽으리이까16 Then bring your livestock said Joseph I will sell you food in excchange for your livestock since your money is gone요셉이 이르되 너희의 가축을 내라 돈이 떨어졌은즉 내가 너희의 가축과 바꾸어 주리라17 so they brought their livestock to Joseph and he gave them food in exchange for their horses their sheep and goats their cattle and donkeys And he brought them through that year with food in exchange for all their livestock그들이 그들의 가축을 요셉에게 끌어오는지라 요셉이 그 말과 양 떼와 소떼와 나귀를 받고 그들에게 먹ㄹ을 것을 주되 곧 그 모든 가축과 바꾸어서 그 해 동안에 먹을 것을 그들에게 주니라 18 When that year was over they came to him the following year and said we cannot hide from our lord the fact that since our money is gone and our livestock belongs to you there is nothing left for our lord except our bodies and our land그 해가 다 가고 새 해가 되매 무리가 요셉에게 와서 그에게 말하되 우리가 주께 숨기지 아니하나이다 우리의 돈이 다하였고 우리의 가축 떼가 주께로 돌아갔사오니 주께 낼 것이 아무것도 남지 아니하고 우리의몸과 토지뿐이라19 Why should we perish before your eyes we and our land as well Buy us and our land in exchange for food and we with our land will ve in bondage to pharaoh Give ys seed so that we may live and not die and that the land may not become desolate우리가 어찌 우리의 토지와 함게 주의 목전에 죽으리이까 우리 몸과 우리 토지를 먹을 것을 주고 사소서 우리가 토지와 함께 바로의 종이 되리니 우리에게 종자를 주시면 우리가 살고 죽지 아니하며 토지도 황폐하게 되지 아니하리이다20 so Joseph bought all the land in Egypt for pharaoh The Egyptians one and sold their fields because the famine was too severe for them The land became pharaoh's그러므로 요셉이 애굽의 모든 토지를 다사서 바로에게 비치니 애굽의 모든 사람들이 기근에 시달려 각기 토지를 팔았음이라 땅이 바로의 소유가 되니라 21 and Joseph reduced the peoplc to servitude ftom one end of Egypt to the othcr요셉이 애굽 땅 이끝에서 저 끝까지의 백성을 성읍들에 옮겼으나22 However he did noot buy the lend of the pricats because they received a regular allotmcnt from Pharaoh and had food enogh from the allotment Pharaoh gave them That is why they did not sell their land제사장들의 토지는 사지 아니하였으니 제사장들은 바로에게서 녹을 받음이라 바로가 주는 녹을 먹으므로 그들이 토지를 팔지 않음이었더라23 Joseph said to the people Now that I have bought you and your land today for pharaoh here is seed for you so you can plant the ground 요셉이 백성에게 이르되 오늘 내가 바로를 위하여 너희 몸과 너희 토지를 샀노라 여기 종자가 있으니 너희는 그 땅에 뿌리라24 But when the crop comes in give a fifth of it to pharaoh The other four fifths you may keep as seed for the fields and as food for yourselves and your households and your children추수의 오분의 일을 바로에게 상납하고 오분의 사는 너희가 가져서 토지의 종자로도 심고 너희의양식으로도 삼고 너희 가족과 어린 아이의 양식으로도 삼으라.25 You have saved our lives they said May we find favor in the eyes of our lord we will be in bondage to pharaoh 그들이 이르되 주께서 우리를 살리셨사오니 우리가 주께 은혜를 입고 바로의 종이 되겠나이다.26 so Joseph established it as a law conecerning land in Egypt still in force today that a fifth of the prodyer belongs to Pharaoh It was only the land of the priests that did not become Pharaoh's요셉이 애굽 토지법을 세우매 그 오분의 일이 바로에게 상납되나 제사장의 토지는 바로의 소유가 도지 아니하여 오늘날까지 이르니라. 27 Now the lsraelites settled in Egypt in the region of Goshen They acquired proterty there and were fruitfyl and increased greatly in nymber이스라엘 족속이 애굽 고센 땅에 거주하며 거기서 생업을 얻어 생육하고 번성하였더라28 Jacob lived in Egypt seventeen years and the years of his life were a hundred and fortyseven야곱이 애굽 땅에 십칠년을 거주하였으니 그의 나이가 백사십칠 세라29 When the time drew near for Israel to die he called for his son Joseph and said to him If I have found favor in your eyes put your hand ynder my thigh and promise that you will show me kindness and faithfylness Do not bury me in Egypt 이스라엘이 죽을 날이 가까우매 그의아들 요셉을 불러 그에게 이르되 이제 내가 네게 은혜를 입었거든 청하노니 네 손을 내 허벅지 아래에 넣고 인애와 성실함으로 내게 행하여 애굽에 나를 장사하지아니하도록 하라30 byt when I rest with my fathers carry me out of Egypt and bury me where they are buried I will do as you say he said 내가 조상들과 함께 눕거든 너는 나를 애굽에서 메어다가 조상의 묘지에 장사하라 요셉이 이르되 내가 아버지의 말씀대로 행하리이다.31 swear to me he said Then Joseph swore to him and Israel worshiped as he leaned on the top of his staff야곱이 또 이르되 내게 맹세하라 하매 그가 맹세하니 이스라엘이 침상 머리에서 하나님께 경배하니라
