Changwon Exhibition Convention Center (CECO)

Official Venue for the Ramsar Meeting on Wetlands

Changwon Exhibition Convention Center (CECO) is a six-story building equipped with high-tech facilities. With a total floor space of 59,920 square meters, the center was built in September, 2005, jointly funded by Gyeongsangnam-do local government and Changwon City Hall. It is located in Changwon, the home of Korea’s machinery industry and the environment-friendly capital of Korea.

International state-of-the-art devices and facilities

The exhibition hall can accommodate 500 booths, with a total floor space of 7,827 square meters. The hall has no pillars, making its space easily divided into a variety of large and small sections, depending on the event, such as concerts and conferences as well as exhibitions. 

 CECO has nine small to large conference rooms on the third and sixth floors, which are equipped with the latest presentation and audio-visual systems, including digital light processing (DLP) projectors.

The conference rooms can be divided or combined into larger ones at the request of customers. It can serve as the ideal place for a variety of small and large international conferences.

 The convention hall has a floor space of 1,653 square meters, capable of accommodating up to 2,000 people. It can be divided into three rooms. The infrared wireless system, which enables simultaneous interpretation into eight different languages, and a state-of-the-art presentation system, has substantially upgraded CECO to the international level. 
 
Convenient Transportation

CECO is just a 30-minute drive from Gimhae International Airport. A total of 17 airlines from nine countries provide 400 flights a week on 25 direct air routes to and from the airport. Airport limousine buses run between the airport and Changwon-Masan destinations every 10 to 15 minutes. It takes approximately two hours and 50 minutes by train and roughly five hours by bus to get from Seoul.
 
Accommodation and one-stop convention services

Tourists can choose the accommodation they want depending on distance and cost. Pullman Ambassador Hotel is very convenient for CECO as the two buildings are connected by a sky-bridge. There are more than 800 rooms available at first class hotels within a 10-minute drive and another 700 rooms are available at cheaper business motels within a 20-minute drive.
