The Avatamsaka Sutra, The Merit of The Initial Determination~(초발심공덕품8-2)

[眞如華]

     8-2.

     有第二人      於一念頃 能知前人      阿僧祗劫      念念所知諸根差別      如是廣說      乃至第十      南西北方      四維上下      亦復如是

     또 둘째 사람이 한 생각 동안에 앞의 사람이 아승지겁 동안에 생각 생각마다 아는 모든 근성의 차별함을 알며, 이렇게 모두 말하여 열째 사람에게 이르렀고, 남방 서방 북방과 네 간방과 상방 하방도 역시 이와 같이 하였다면,

then suppose there is a second person who could know in one instant all the differences in faculties known by the first person, in each instant of an incalculable eon; extend this to the tenth person and apply it also to the other nine directions,

then suppose there is a second person

; 또 둘째 사람이

in one instant; 한 생각 동안에

known by the first person; 앞의 사람이 ~ 아는

an incalculable eon; 아승지겁 동안에

in each instant of; 생각 생각마다

all the differences in faculties

; 모든 근성의 차별함을

who could know; 알며

extend this; 이렇게 모두 말하여

to the tenth person; 열째 사람에게 이르렀고

apply it also to; 역시 이와 같이 하였다면

the other nine directions
