     10-1.

      9. 衆生의 方便理解와 初發心功德

     佛子      復置此喩      假使有人      於一念頃      能知東方無數世界所有衆生      種種方便      如是廣說      乃至第十      南西北方      四維上下      亦復如是

     불자여, 이 비유 또한 그만두고, 가령 어떤 사람이 한 생각 동안에 동방의 무수한 세계에 있는 중생들의 갖가지 방편을 알며, 이렇게 모두 말하여 열째 사람에게 이르렀고, 남방 서방 북방과 네 간방과 상방 하방도 역시 이와 같다고 하자.

Again, setting this example aside, suppose there is someone who can in a single instant know the techniques of all the sentient beings in countless lands in the eastern direction, and extend this example as before to ten people and to all ten directions;

suppose there is someone who can know

; 가령 어떤 사람이 ~ 알며

in a single instant; 한 생각 동안에

in the eastern direction; 동방의

in countless lands; 무수한 세계에 있는

the techniques of all the sentient beings

; 중생들의 갖가지 방편을

and extend this example; 이렇게 모두 말하여

as before to ten people; 열째 사람에게 이르렀고

and to all ten directions

; 남방 서방 북방과 네 간방과 상방 하방도 역시 이와

같다고 하자
