해나: 있을 거야. 지갑 좀 볼게. 왜 그러는데?

David: I went to a going away party last night and I drank too much.
데이빗: 어젯밤에 송별 파티에 갔는데 술을 너무 많이 마셨어.

Hannah: Now you've got a hangover.
해나: 이제 숙취가 왔구나.

David: Mostly I've got a splitting headache.
데이빗: 대개는 머리 깨질 듯 아파.

Hannah: That's what you get for going out in the middle of the week.
해나: 주중에 밖에 나가니까 그렇게 되지.

David: I couldn't help it. A very good friend is moving to New York today.
데이빗: 어쩔 수 없었어. 아주 친한 친구가 오늘 뉴욕으로 가거든.

Hannah: Do you think that‘s a good reason for being irresponsible?
해나: 그게 무책임한 행동을 할만한 괜찮은 이유가 된다고 생각하니?

David: It may not be a good reason but it is a reason.
데이빗: 그럴듯한 이유는 아닐 지 모르겠지만 이유는 이유지.

Hannah: Here are the aspirin. I hope they work.
해나: 아스피린 여기 있어. 잘 들었으면 좋겠다.

▶ (a) going away party: 송별 파티.
“Jerry must be well-like because there were a lot of people at his going away party.”
