Treasure, Pearls, and Net
Main Reference: Mt 13:44-52
Jesus told the secrets of the kingdom of heaven in parables. In Mt 13:44-46, [Jesus] spoke in parables about a man who, after finding a valuable treasure and pearl, sold all he had and bought the valuable pearl and treasure.
The thing more valuable than treasure and pearls is life. Just as it was said in Jn 1:4 that the Word in the beginning is life, the word of eternal life is more valuable than pearls or treasure or anything else.
The greatest truth is a treasure and pearl that is more valuable than the treasure and pearls of the world.
Although one may have highly valued the truth he knew as treasure and pearls, if a greater and brighter truth than this is found, then he should sell the knowledge he has and buy the truly valuable, greatest truth and store it in his heart.
This valuable, greatest truth is the word of the prophecies of the 4 gospels and Revelation. Whoever adds to or subtracts from Revelation cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. This Revelation is the most valuable treasure and pearl.
It was said in Mt 13:47-48 that a net is let down into the sea-like world to catch fish. Good [fish] are collected in the basket, and the bad ones are thrown away. Isn’t the current reality of Shincheonji like this?
[We] must become like the owners in Mt 13:52, where it was said that every teacher of the law who has been instructed about the kingdom of heaven is like the owner [of a house] who brings out of his storeroom old [treasures] as well as new. We must all become walking Bibles and storerooms that have fully stored old [treasures] as well as new.
