  Section 30 : Heukjeon(黑箭,흑전)... An Arrow Shot in the Dark... Article 218.

黑箭(흑전)은 어두운 곳에서 사람을 쏘는 것이다.

  Heukjeon(黑箭,흑전 - An Arrow Shot in the Dark) means shooting a person from a dark place.

지혜의 화살을 쏘는 것은 혹 남과 함께 하되 모략의 화살을 쏘는 것은 반드시 혼자서 하게 된다.

  Shooting an arrow of wisdom may perhaps be done alongside others,

  but shooting an arrow of conspiracy is inevitably done all by oneself.

차라리 지혜의 화살을 쏠지언정 모략의 화살을 쏘는 것은 안되는 것이다.

  One should rether shoot an arrow of wisdom;

  shooting an arrow of conspiracy must never be done.

사냥을 함에 잠자는 짐승을 죽이지 않는 것은 어짐으로서 인간이 어질지 못하면
인간의 도리가 떨어지며 인간의 도리가 떨어지면 재앙이 높이 불을 뿜듯 하게 된다.
  When hunting, refraining from killing a sleeping beast constitutes benevolence.

  If a human being fails to be benevolent, their human morality falls away;

  and once human morality falls away, disaster will erupt fiercely,

  as if spewing fire high into the air.

黑箭者는 暗地射人也라 (흑전자는 암지사인야라)

  Heukjeon(黑箭,흑전 - An Arrow Shot in the Dark) means shooting a person from a dark place.

智箭은 或兼人하며 謀箭은 必由己니 (지전은 혹겸인하며 모전은 필유기니)

  An arrow of wisdom may perhaps be shared with others,

  but an arrow of conspiracy inevitably originates from oneself.

寧可智언정 不可謀라 獵不宿殺은 仁也니 (영가지언정 불가모라 엽불숙살은 인야니)

  One should rather employ wisdom, but never plot conspiracies.

   In hunting,  refraining from killing a sleeping beast constitutes benevolence(仁,인).

人而不仁이면 貶人道라 貶人道者는 其禍仰噴이니라. (인이불인이면 폄인도라 폄인도자는 기화앙분이니라.)

  If a human being llacks benevolence, they degrade human morality;

  and for one who degrades human morality, their disaster will erupt fiercely, spewing upward.

[Explanation, 풀이]

어두움 속에 숨어서 남의 등을 향해 활을 쏜다는 것은 남을 아무런  위험부담없이 헤치겠다는 말이다.

  Hiding in the dsrkness and shooting an arrow at someone′s back means attempting

  to hrem others without taking any risk upon oneself.

사냥꾼이 잠자는 짐승을 죽이지 않는 것은 짐승과 인간과의 최소한의 예의이다.

  A hunter refraining from killing a sleeping beast represents

  the bare minimum level of etiquette between humans and animals.

하물며 인간과 인간과의 기본적인 예의조차 무시하고 아무 방비없는 사람에게 가장 치명적인 피해를 입힌다면
그 사람이 피해를 입기 전에 먼저 자신의 본바탕부터 치명적인 타격을 받는 것이다.

  Furthermore, if one ignores even the basic etiquette between human beings 

  and inflicts the most fatal harm upon a defenseless person, then before that victim is even hurt,

  the perpetrator′s own fundamental nature suffers a fatal blow first.

  
인간이 인간의 본바탕에 치명적인 손상을 입는 다면 그건 이미 인간이 아니라 惡鬼(악귀)이다.

  If a human being suffers fatal damage to their very humanity,

   they are no longer a human but an evil spirit(惡鬼,악귀).

惡鬼(악귀)가 인간의 탈을 쓰고 다닌다 해도 사람들과 하늘과 땅은 그것을 인정치 않고 반드시 파멸시킬 것이다.

  Even if such an evil spirit walks around wearing a human mask, humnity, Heaven,

   and Earth will never recognize it and will surely bring about its destruction.
