- 영한 : ~동안 결근하다.

- 영영 : To not be present in a particular place.

- 설명 : 기본적으로 특정 자리에 없다는 의미로, 다양한 해석이 가능한 단어/문장이지만, 대화의 앞뒤 정황상 회사에 결근했다는 의미로도 사용됩니다.

- 예문 :

Lee: Oh what happened?

Mark: I was out two days with a knee injury and lost two day's pay.
마크: 무릎을 다쳐서 이틀 결근하는 바람에 이틀 치 임금을 못 받았어요.

Lee: How can I help you?
리: 내가 어떻게 해주면 될까?

Mark: I'd like to pay $725 now and the balance of $50 in two weeks.
마크: 지금 725 달러를 내고 나머지 50 달러는 2주 안에 내면 좋겠어요.

Lee: That's okay. Are you up and about?
리: 그렇게 하죠. 다친 건 나았어요?

Mark: Yes but I walk with a little limp. I took a spill getting out of the shower.
마크: 예. 한데 걸을 때 조금 쩔뚝거려요. 샤워하고 나오다 넘어졌거든요.

Lee: Well I hope you feel better.
리: 그럼 몸조리 잘 해요.
