- 영한 : (값이) 얼마죠?, 돈이 얼마나 든 거야?

- 영영 : used to ask the cost of something

- 설명 : 내 지갑에 주는 손상이 얼마냐고 둘러 묻는 표현

-예문 : 

Mac, what's the damage down there? 
거기 얼마예요?

Annie: This is my first time away from home.
애니: 집 떠나는 게 처음이잖아요.

Pamela: You can call us anytime.
패멀러: 언제든 전화하면 되지.

Bill: We'll always be here. Come on. Let's go home. (To the waitress.) What's the damage?
빌: 우린 변함없이 여기 있을 거야. 자 집에 가자.(웨이트리스에게) 여기 얼마죠?


[기억할만한 표현]
▶ head off for or to (a place): (어디로) 출발하다.
“Well, I’m heading off to the mall to buy some shoes.” 
(글쎄, 난 구두를 좀 사러 샤핑몰에 갈 거야.)

▶ I must admit: 솔직히.
“The traffic is bad, but I must admit I love this city.” 
(교통이 막히긴 하지만 이 도시가 좋다고 하지 않을 수 없어.)

▶ One is on edge: 불안하다. 초조하다.
“She’s on edge because she’s taking her driving test today.” 
(그녀는 오늘 운전면허 주행 시험을 보기 때문에 초조해요.)
