태초에 말씀이 계시니라 이 말씀이 하나님과 함께 계셨으니

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,

이 말씀은 곧 하나님이시니라

and the Word was God.

그가 태초에 하나님과 함께 계셨고 만물이 그로 말미암아 지은 바 되었으니

He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him,

지은 것이 하나도 그가 없이는 된 것이 없느니라

and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.

그 안에 생명이 있었으니 이 생명은 사람들의 빛이라

In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.

빛이 어두움에 비취되 어두움이 깨닫지 못하더라

The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

참빛 곧 세상에 와서 각 사람에게 비취는 빛이 있었나니

There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man.

그가 세상에 계셨으며 세상은 그로 말미암아 지은바 되었으되

He was in the world, and the world was made through Him,

세상이 그를 알지 못하였고 자기 땅에 오매 자기 백성이 영접지 아니하였으나

and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him.

영접하는 자 곧 그 이름을 믿는 자들에게는 하나님의 자녀가 되는 권세를 주셨으니

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become

children of God, even to those who believe in His name,

이는 혈통으로나 육정으로나 사람의 뜻으로 나지 아니하고

who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man,

오직 하나님께로서 난 자들이니라

but of God.

말씀이 육신이 되어 우리 가운데 거하시매 우리가 그 영광을 보니

And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory,

아버지의 독생자의 영광이요 은혜와 진리가 충만하더라.

glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

주님의 치유 Healing of the Lord 4. 예수를 좇으라. Follow Jesus.

예수께서 무리가 자기를 에워쌈을 보시고 저 편으로 건너가기를 명하시니라 한 서기관이 나아와 예수께 말씀하되 선생님이여 어디로 가시든지 저는 좇으리이다. 예수께서 이르시되 여우도 굴이 있고 공중의 새도 거처가 있으되 오직 인자는 머리 둘 곳이 없다 하시더라. 제자 중에 또 하나가 가로되 주여 나로 먼저 가서 내 부친을 장사하게 허락하옵소서. 예수께서 가라사대 죽은 자들로 저희 죽은 자를 장사하게 하고 너는 나를 좇으라 하시니라 마태복음 8:18-22

Now when Jesus saw a crowd around Him, He gave orders to depart to the other side of the sea. Then a scribe came and said to Him, "Teacher, I will follow You wherever You go." Jesus said to him, "The foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head." Another of the disciples said to Him, "Lord, permit me first to go and bury my father." But Jesus said to him, "Follow Me, and allow the dead to bury their own dead." Matthew 8:18-22

오늘날 어찌 하는 것이 예수를 좇는 것인가요? 우리는 주께서 내게 오셔서 하나 되어 주심을 믿습니다. 그러나 베드로는 주께서 어디로 가시는지를 물었고 오히려 주님은 다시 오신다고 하셨습니다. 그리고 다음 구절도 숙고해 보아야 합니다.

예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 사람이 나를 사랑하면 내 말을 지키리니 내 아버지께서 저를 사랑하실 것이요 우리가 저에게 와서 거처를 저와 함께 하리라 요한복음 14:23

우리는 지금 나 있는 곳에 오셔서 함께 하시고 동행하시는 주님을 믿고 갑니다. 그러면 오늘 우리는 어떻게 주님을 좇게 될까요? 특히 두 번째 말씀하신 부분은 실제로 적용하기가 쉽지 않습니다. 제자 된 자는 부친상을 당했을 때도 가지 말고 사역의 길로 가야 마땅한 것일까요? 그렇지 않습니다. 그럼 왜 이런 말씀을 남기셨을까요? 오늘 말씀 가운데서 우리는 무엇을 찾아야 할까요?

위에서 언급한대로 오늘날 우리는 주님을 좇아 어디를 가는 것은 아닙니다. 오히려 우리 있는 곳에 주께서 오셔서 하나 되심을 믿습니다. 우리 모두 사역자가 되어야 할 것도 아닙니다. 그러나 주님의 오늘 말씀을 통하여 이 시대에 주님을 따르는 자들의 조건과 상태를 알아 볼 수 있습니다.

첫 번째, 주를 따르는 것은 주를 마음에 모시는 것입니다. 서기관이라고 표현된 이 사람은 실제로 주께서 어디로 가시던지 따를 작정이었을 것입니다. 그러나 주께서 그에게 하신 말씀을 통하여 그의 마음에 주님의 자리가 없었음을 알게 됩니다. 사역을 하시는 이들은 모두 자신은 주님을 모시고 주님을 좇는다고 말할 것입니다. 하지만 주께서는 사역과 주를 마음에 모시는 것을 별개일 수 있다고 하십니다. 주를 쫓는 것은 주를 마음에 모시는 믿음입니다.

주를 모신 이의 마음은 겸손과 두려움을 갖습니다. 자신 혼자 나서지 않습니다. 결과에 연연하지 않습니다. 어떤 고독한 환경에서도 외롭지 않습니다. 일의 한계를 스스로의 경험에서 제한하지 않습니다. 그들의 능력은 하나님의 풍성함에서 나옵니다. 그들의 입은 하나님의 입으로 사용될 것이고 그들의 섬김은 하나님의 창조의 능력을 드러나게 합니다. 그러나 결코 자신이 한 일이라고 성취를 소유로 삼지 않습니다.

두 번째, 주를 따르는 것은 하늘에 속한 삶을 사는 것입니다. 이는 마치 당연한 듯 들립니다. 그러나 성경에서는 삶의 모든 유형을 물이라, 많은 물이라, 혹은 바다라 칭합니다. 그리고 그러한 삶의 모든 유형 가운데 하늘을 두셨다 합니다. 이 하늘을 경계로 하늘 아래 물과 하늘 위의 물로 나뉘게 됩니다. 주께서 제자라 표현한 두 번째 사람은 이러한 면을 알려주려 하심입니다.

주를 모신 이들이 제자입니다. 그들도 다른 이들과 마찬가지로 같은 세상을 살아갑니다. 하지만 하늘 아래의 물에 속하여 살 수도 있고 하늘 위에 속하여 살 수도 있습니다. 주님은 제자들의 삶의 유형을 말씀하신 것입니다. 표면적으로 부모를 장사하는 일은 하지 말아야 한다거나 사역이 앞에 있을 때는 어떤 중요한 일도 포기해야 한다거나 하는 일을 말씀하신 것이 아닙니다. 부모의 장사도 하늘 위의 물에 속할 수도 있고 마땅히 정성껏 모셔야 합니다.

우리의 시대, 주와 연합한 믿음을 가진 이들도 여전히 주를 좇아야 합니다. 그것은 표면적으로 드러난 직분이나 사역을 말하지 않습니다. 그것은 믿음으로 주를 마음에 모시는 것이고 그러한 삶의 유형과 세계에서 살아가는 것입니다.

How do you follow Jesus today? We believe in the Lord coming to me and uniting me. But Peter asked where the Lord was going, and he said that the Lord would come again. And consider the following verses.

Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. John 14:23

We trust the Lord who comes to my place, joins us, and accompanies us. Then, how will we follow the Lord today? In particular, the second part that the Lord mentioned is not easy to apply. Is a disciple appropriate to go on the path of ministry, not even when he or she has their father's funeral? No. Then why did the Lord leave this comment? What should we look for in today's conversation?

As mentioned above, today we are not going anywhere in following the Lord. Rather, I believe that the Lord comes to our place and unites us. Not all of us should be ministers. However, through the word today, we can see the conditions of those who follow the Lord in this era.

First, to follow the Lord is to accept the Lord in our hearts. This man, described as a scribe, would have actually intended to follow the Lord wherever he went. However, from what the Lord said to him, he found that there was no place for the Lord in his heart. Everyone in the ministry will say that they serve the Lord and pursue the Lord. But the Lord says that there can be one thing between the ministry and the Lord at heart. Following the Lord is a belief in the Lord at heart.

The heart of the Lord has humility and fear. He does not stand up alone. He does not dwell on the consequences. He does not feel lonely in any solitary environment. He does not limit the limits of his work to his own experience. Their power comes from God's abundance. Their mouth will be used as God's mouth, and their service reveals God's ability to create. But he never owns the achievement just because he did it.

Second, to follow the Lord is to live a life that belongs to heaven. This may sound like a given. However, in the Bible, all types of life are called water, lots of water, or oceans. And it is said that he placed heaven among all types of such life. It is divided into water under the sky and water above the sky by the boundary of this sky. The second person who the Lord has described as a disciple is trying to tell you this aspect.

They are disciples of the Lord. They live in the same world as everyone else. However, they can live under the water under the sky or above the sky. The Lord was referring to the types of lives of his disciples. ostensibly, I'm not referring to not selling your parents or giving up any important work when your ministry is ahead. Your parents' business can belong to the water above you, and you must serve them with all your heart.

Even those who have faith in our time, united with the Lord, must still pursue the Lord. It does not refer to the ostensibly revealed duty or ministry. It is to take the Lord to heart with faith, and to live in that type of life and world.
