일치감(一致感)을 느끼는 갈멜산 엘리야의 기도

(왕상18:16-46)
16 So Obadiah went to meet Ahab and told him, and Ahab went to meet Elijah.  17 When he saw Elijah, he said to him, "Is that you, you troubler of Israel?"  18 "I have not made trouble for Israel," Elijah replied. "But you and your father's family have. You have abandoned the LORD'S commands and have followed the Baals.  19 Now summon the people from all over Israel to meet me on Mount Carmel. And bring the four hundred and fifty prophets of Baal and the four hundred prophets of Asherah, who eat at Jezebel's table."  20 So Ahab sent word throughout all Israel and assembled the prophets on Mount Carmel.  21 Elijah went before the people and said, "How long will you waver between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him." But the people said nothing.  22 Then Elijah said to fifty prophets.  23 Get two bulls for us. Let them choose one for themselves, and them, "I am the only one of the LORD'S prophets left, but Baal has four hundred and let them cut it into pieces and put it on the wood but not set fire to it. I will prepare the other bull and put it on the wood but not set fire to it.  24 Then you call on the name of your god, and I will call on the name of the LORD. The god who answers by fire--he is God." Then all the people said, "What you say is good."  25 Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, "Choose one of the bulls and prepare it first, since there are so many of you. Call on the name of your god, but do not light the fire."  26 So they took the bull given them and prepared it. Then they called on the name of Baal from morning till noon. "O Baal, answer us!" they shouted. But there was no response; no one answered. And they danced around the altar they had made.  27 At noon Elijah began to taunt them. "Shout louder!" he said. "Surely he is a god! Perhaps he is deep in thought, or busy, or traveling. Maybe he is sleeping and must be awakened."  28 So they shouted louder and slashed themselves with swords and spears, as was their custom, until their blood flowed.  29 Midday passed, and they continued their frantic prophesying until the time for the evening sacrifice. But there was no response, no one answered, no one paid attention.  30 Then Elijah said to all the people, "Come here to me." They came to him, and he repaired the altar of the LORD, which was in ruins.  31 Elijah took twelve stones, one for each of the tribes descended from Jacob, to whom the word of the LORD had come, saying, "Your name shall be Israel."  32 With the stones he built an altar in the name of the LORD, and he dug a trench around it large enough to hold two seahs (※7.3ℓ)of seed.  33 He arranged the wood, cut the bull into pieces and laid it on the wood. Then he said to them, "Fill four large jars with water and pour it on the offering and on the wood."  34 "Do it again," he said, and they did it again. "Do it a third time," he ordered, and they did it the third time.  35 The water ran down around the altar and even filled the trench.  36 At the time of sacrifice, the prophet Elijah stepped forward and prayed: "O LORD, God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and have done all these things at your command.  37 Answer me, O LORD, answer me, so these people will know that you, O LORD, are God, and that you are turning their hearts back again."  38 Then the fire of the LORD fell and burned up the sacrifice, the wood, the stones and the soil, and also licked up the water in the trench.  39 When all the people saw this, they fell prostrate and cried, "The LORD--he is God! The LORD--he is God!"  40 Then Elijah commanded them, "Seize the prophets of Baal. Don't let anyone get away!" They seized them, and Elijah had them brought down to the Kishon Valley and slaughtered there.  41 And Elijah said to Ahab, "Go, eat and drink, for there is the sound of a heavy rain."  42 So Ahab went off to eat and drink, but Elijah climbed to the top of Carmel, bent down to the ground and put his face between his knees.  43 "Go and look toward the sea," he told his servant. And he went up and looked. "There is nothing there," he said. Seven times Elijah said, "Go back."  44 The seventh time the servant reported, "A cloud as small as a man's hand is rising from the sea." So Elijah said, "Go and tell Ahab, 'Hitch up your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.'"  45 Meanwhile, the sky grew black with clouds, the wind rose, a heavy rain came on and Ahab rode off to Jezreel.  46 The power of the LORD came upon Elijah and, tucking his cloak into his belt, he ran ahead of Ahab all the way to Jezreel.

그리고 엘리야

어느 신이 진정(眞正) 그리고 섬길만한 ...섬겨야 할 신(神)이냐를 놓고 벌인 대결
결과적으로는 
엘리야의 승리 ... 대 승리

그 결과로 말미암아 바알과 아세라 선지자들 850명 모두는 기드론 시냇가에서 몰사(沒死)
참으로 그 과정을 보면
통쾌(痛快) 그 자체(自體)라 할 수 있다

그렇게 그들을 벌 한 후에
하나님은 엘리야의 기도를 받으시고
큰 비를 내려 오랜 가뭄을 끝내주셨음을 본다

오늘의 말씀을 통해서 
엘리야는 어떻게 그렇게 담대하게
바알과 아세라 선지자들 모두와의 대결을 ...

그것도 하늘에서 불이 내려 
제단의 제물을 불태우도록 하는 조건을 내세울 수 있었을까?
있었을까?

아마도 분명 그 일은
확실한 하나님의 엘리야에게 명하심에 따른 확신
그동안 이 일을 감당하게 하기 위한 ①사마리아 ②그릿계곡 ③사르밧의 체험을 통한 하나님 신뢰도 높임 훈련결과가 아니겠나...싶다

불을 내려 달라고 기도하는 엘리야의 기도 중에
내 심금을 울리는 내용이 있다
그것은?

① let it be known today that you are God in Israel 
② and that I am your servant
③ so these people will know that you

이 기도는 
지금까지~ 내 호흡이 멈추는 그 날까지
현재 가장 절실하게 된 기도 내용이다



코로나 이후로 기독교에 불어 닥친 찬바람
이미 하나님과는 건널 수 없는 바다를 사이로 두고 있는 것처럼 느껴지는...
내 목회의 위기(危機)...

[시42:3,10] 이 생각난다
사람들이 종일 내게 하는 말이 네 하나님이 어디 있느뇨 하오니 내 눈물이 주야로 내 음식이 되었도다 
내 뼈를 찌르는 칼 같이 내 대적이 나를 비방하여 늘 내게 말하기를 네 하나님이 어디 있느냐 하도다

그런데 시편의 기록이 과거의 일이었고
그 후에 하나님의 은총역사가 계속되었다는 점을 고려한다면
오늘날의 이 상황 또한 지나갈 것이고...하는 소망을 가져볼 수 있지 않을까...하는 기대(企待)가 내 속에 있다

주여!
엘리야의 하나님이시여
그분을 양육훈련연단(養育訓練鍊鍛)하신 것처럼...그리하여 갈멜산의 승리, 닫혔던 하늘의 문이 열리도록 하신 것처럼 제게도 그런 은혜은총긍휼자비인도(恩惠恩寵矜恤慈悲引導) 허락(許諾)하옵소서 주여~

우리몸과 마음을 불사르소서
주님은 분명히 살아계신 하나님
간곡한 기도에 응답하소서
