<p>The work that Jesus does is teaching. In the Gospels, the work of Jesus can be summarized as teaching the Word. The essence of the Church is to teach and learn the Word.</p><p> </p><p>The genealogy in today's text ends with God. In other words, God is the ancestor of Jesus. The genealogy was written to emphasize this point.</p><p> </p><p>The record of Jesus at the age of thirty is shown through the genealogy, and as we see this flow, we understand that Jesus' Father is God and that God sent His Son through many people - to completely save us. This is God's love and justice that come from His holiness.</p><p> </p><p>By reading about the many deeds of these many people in the Old Testament, we can see that our God tirelessly worked and still works to save us.
