We are confident of final victory (Romans 8:38-39)`
If christians read the bible as an open book without opening the seals, knowledge will only accumulate.
Memorizing Bible verses, QT, etc. all fall into this category.
However, whoever reads the book with its seals opened (Revelation 5:5) eats it (Revelation 10:9). It is bread.
People who say they believe Jesus or they believe the cross are chasing Bible knowledge.
However, those who died with Christ and were raised through the cross of Christ have become one spirit with the Lord who sits on the heavenly throne in truth, and through the Lord who opened the seals, the Bible becomes a revealed book and bread of life.
These people do not spread knowledge, but become two witnesses and can measure the temple, the altar, and those worshiping therein with a measuring line like a reed. (Revelation 11)
The reason I can look at people and simply say that if you die now, you will be in the lake of fire, is not because I am looking at his actions, but because the place where he stands is not in the sanctuary.
Some people say that we must fight against Satan and the evil spirits who have power over the air and win. It is of course true that we must win, but how to win is a different matter.
The beast, the antichrist and the false prophet, are dealt with by the Lamb, the Lord Jesus Christ. (Revelation 19)
Then, through the battle between Gog and Magog, God puts the devil, death, and Hades into the lake of fire (Revelation 20).
Therefore, all enemies on earth are handled by Christ, and those on air are handled by God.
Q. What is the basis for your confidence in victory?
“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8: 38-39)
A. It is the love of God in Christ.
If we overcome the tribulations, hardships, persecution, famine, nakedness, and sword that occur on earth in verse 35, we will then overcome the beings in the air in verse 38.
Victory in the ground battle is the prelude to victory in the air battle.
The words ‘I am persuaded ’ mean that the assurance of victory has finally come.
This means that faith that follows the salvation process from Romans 1 to 8 is important.
As salvation progresses in Romans 8 and we reach this point, we are finally confident that no one can separate us.
We declare that no one can separate us from God's love in Christ.
Verse 35 is the love of Christ, and verse 38 is the love of God.
The problem in verse 35 is overcome with the love of Christ, and the problem in verse 38 is overcome with the love of God.
Verse 35 refers to earthly events or situations, and verse 38 refers to something more, a cosmic existence.
Verse 35 refers to things that happen on the earth, and verse 38 refers to beings who have authority in the air above the earth.
What arises on earth is overcome through the love of the life of Christ, and spiritual beings in the air are overcome through the love of God in Christ.
No being can separate from God's love in Jesus Christ.
Love is stronger than life. Whether the problem is physical or metaphysics, love puts an end to it.
So, take a look at verses 1 and 39 of chapter 8.
Those who are in Christ Jesus abide in that love.
That is why the Lord says, keep my commandments and abide in my love. (John 15:9-10)
If you continue in God's lovingkindness as He commanded you to, no one can cut you down. (Romans 11:22)
Romans 8 begins with ‘there is no condemnation.’
Only those who are in Jesus Christ. He is never condemned.
The law of the world also has the law of double jeopardy.
Who condemns us, whom Christ brought us to life by putting us to death with him from the sin that was in Adam, and transferred us into Christ?
And Romans 8:39 ends with the declaration that ‘no one can separate.’
If we put it in terms of a house, it means there is absolutely no condemnation at the front door and no one can separate at the back door.
Whether on one side or the other, any being is bound to become powerless and meaningless in the love of God and Christ.
No one can attack you.
Because love surpasses and transcends everything.
Love is God and Christ themselves.
So, Romans 8 is the clear logic of salvation.
What kind of person am I in Jesus Christ? Think deeply.
Who I am and my mission are made possible by God’s love in Christ.
Because Paul has assurance of salvation according to Romans 8, he boldly shouts out in Romans 9 to his fellow Israelites, an unreached people group, who are suffering under the law (Romans 9)
Any evangelist with the gospel must have this level of confidence.
Don’t you think that we need to spread the gospel again not only in Korea but also in all five continents? (Revelation 11:11)
Therefore, even if you are abandoned and rejected by the world, do not be rejected by the Bible.
So, through the love of Christ's life and the love of God the Father working within you in your life, you will have strong faith, certain confidence, vitality in life, infinite happiness, and become people who can say something to others.
I pray in the name of the Lord that you will be a praise of glory to God.
