Jesus calls the twelve disciples apostles. In the history of Israel, there was no such position as apostle. While there were judges, prophets, and priests, Jesus was the first to use the term apostle. The reason He appointed the disciples as apostles was so that they could become fishers of men. The purpose of learning as a disciple is to become someone who wins people over. The work of the church is to win people.
Strive to touch Jesus. Call out the name of Jesus. Follow the words of Jesus. If Jesus goes to the plains, go to the plains. If He goes to the mountains, follow Him to the mountains. You must follow Jesus to be able to touch Him.
If you believe in Jesus, you will understand what it means to strive to touch Him. Live your church life with that kind of faith.
