Brett Johnson was raised in Dallas Texas and credits his mother's music collection
and selections to be his earliest musical influences Soft Cell, Prince, Motown,
Human League, Kraftwerk and Stevie Wonder all helped cultivate Brett's
own sound - groovy with a techno edge.
In the late 80s, teen-Brett and friends were heavily into the Rap and Hip House
and began mixing records and experimenting with what has now been coined
as "turntable-ism". In high school, Brett would be introduced to a new crowd and
another style, Techno. From this point, Brett's love for all things electronic grew
into a deep respect and passion and he found himself growing with what was the
beginning Dallas House scene. "The early '90s in Dallas were an amazing time for
House and Techno music. I was consumed with producers like MAW, Todd Terry,
Kerri Chandler, K.O.T. and the whole NY movement, but then I was exposed to the
new Chicago sound that was making waves and fell in love with its playfulness (probably
because I've always considered myself a bit of a silly person). I had the chance to hear
people like Derrick Carter, DJ Sneak, Ralphi Rosario, the DiY Crew and Chez Damier (who
actually stayed with me for a week and helped me understand that making music was the
next step for me)".
Brett's name was growing within the Dallas scene, but it wasn't until a move to Austin
that his ideas and motivation really took shape. In '95 a friend gave Brett a drum machine
he knew it was just a logical progression to start making music. While saving money and
buying gear, Brett continued to build the DJ aspect of his career, but he was consumed with
writing music. Over the next four years Brett studied music, absorbed information and
learned all he could about the equipment. "I once read an interview with Derrick Carter
in a magazine where he said when he was writing music he would always try and raise the bar
for himself. Those words really inspired me to imagine the highest goals for my music and
self. I really believe in our (human kind) ability to reach whatever goals we set, we are
truly an amazing species in that respect.
When Brett started Aesoteric Records with friends in '98, its purpose was to be an outlet
to release their music, but it wasn't long before other artists were signed to the
label. Iz and Diz, Cpen, Hakan Lidbo and fellow Dallas House heads JT Donaldson, Tim Shumaker
and Lance Desardi were all people they thought expressed a similar vibe. The label has given
Brett and long-time friend Demarkus Lewis a freedom to do and say what they want without any
confusion. "I realized a long time ago that my purpose in life was to make myself and others
happy, I have chosen music to be the vehicle to do so".
Brett Johnson has a serious music career ahead, grabbing the attention of Derrick Carter and
Luke Solomon's Classic Records for which Brett will be releasing an album with his good friend
Dave Barker, as well as DJ Sneak.
Canadian born Jason Hurtubise, first arrived in the house music scene
in late 1991, taking on Toronto¹s underground party scene he developed
his DJing skills on the decks with the likes of New York - New Jersey
sounds. Todd Terry, Kenny Dope + Lil Louie Vega (Maw) Zack Tomz, and
Todd Edwards are a few of Hodges¹ favorite producers.
Drawn to the sounds of drum machines, Hodges began renting gear from
local music stores until finally deciding on a E-MU SP 1200, a piece
commonly used by Hip Hop producers since it¹s arrival in 1987.
Hard-hitting beats with deep grooves became the signature sound for
Hodges whether in the studio, on the dance floors; from local Toronto
gigs, to the surrounding towns around Ontario and across Canada, Hodges
was growing and coming into his own.
Jason began releasing records with various Toronto labels getting his
feet wet remixing and co-producing tracks with some of Canada¹s talents.
After many years of training and development, Hodges returned to the
scene with a new energy and a new plan.
As a part of the All World Entertainment team of house DJs and producers,
Hodges has teamed up with Big Chief DJ Sneak on co-production and remix
work for several notable and established artists. Hodges & Sneak (AKA "The
Jizznackaz") have collaborated on a number of Sneak¹s projects and records
for Magnetic Recordings, as well as Sneak¹s new imprint label Oomph Recordings
Jason is currently building his profile; remixing artists like Freaks on MMF,
Kaskade on OM, Sneak¹s "Fix my Sink" on Magnetic, Cozy Creatures Oomph, among
many others in the horizon. 2003 opened the floodgates for world travel and new
music projects, promising a steady and bright future for Canada¹s best-kept secret.
The name Jason Hodges represents the technical craft he pours into every production,
with highly anticipated tracks being played and praised by the likes of Mark Farina,
DJ Heather, Derrick Carter, DJ Raoul and Sneak, among other eminent House Music
Pioneers around the world.
Sneak on Hodges: "My very first trip to Toronto in 1994, I had the pleasure of
meeting Toronto¹s upcoming producers. I can remember perfectly a comment I made
about Jason, I said, "He's the Kenny Dope of Toronto". He has productively advanced
into a solid house music trooper".

Biography
Decode is one of the true pioneers and an iconic figure in the electronic music scene of Korea.
It is all started back in 1992 when Decode headed out to New York City for enrollment at
Pratt Art Institute as a film student. His exposure to the fresh new underground party scene of
the city proved to be a turning point in his life.
Then the fetal movement of the new dance music culture of the city in 1992 naturally led him
down the road to become a DJ. Discovering Chicago House legendaries and Decode's interaction
with NYC DJs such as Atom X, Heather Heart, Carlos Terra and many more marked the
beginning of his life as a DJ.
In late 1993 Decode started spinning out primarily at illegal warehouse parties and local club nights.
The same year his involvement with music got deeper as Decode started doing his production
work. He produced numerous tracks under the name "Autopilot" with Derek Marin (NYC/Lab Dance,
Surreal Reocrds).
In 1997 Decode headed out to San Francisco to attend San Francisco Art Institute for his graduate
studies. There he worked as a video & sound engineer at a prominent electronic music label by the
name of Asphodel for its experiment project STC-Sound Traffic Control. While at Asphodel, Decode's
further exchanges with various producers and engineers helped him expand his knowledge in music,
refining his foundations as a producer.
Decode's numerous attempts over the years to bring electronic music to Korea were not
fruitful. Then in 1997 Decode got his break when Korea's first legendary techno club Sang Su Do
gave him DJ residency. The same year, Decode earned critical acclaim for his production work on
a diva, Lee Yoon Jung's album, "Jin Hwa-Evolution". It's not an overstatement to say that Decode
was a forerunner in the efforts of spreading electronic dance music in Korea.
In 1999 Decode founded Innertech Promotion, which composed of talented local DJs, played an
essential role to open up the early party scene in Korea. Through this vessel he planned numerous
parties and performed alongside internationally renown DJs such as Jeff Mills, John Aquaviva,
Bad Boy Bill, Towa Tei, David Alvarado, Eric Davenport, Chales Feel Good, Krush, Paul Bleasdale and
so many more. Throughout, Decode also has been holding residencies at
numerous clubs in Seoul City.
With pumping bumpy warehouse beats and funky baseline as foundation to his sets,
Decode gracefully blends every genres of house music for a progressive expression.
His improvised but yet well thought out DJ set surely show his decade of experience
as a DJ and a record collector.
Decode is currently devoted to running Baseline Productions. Through Baseline he is continuously
pushing The Underground House Scene of Seoul city to the limit, organizing the most happening
monthly House event, "SOFT" and has worked with international talents, such as Jay J, JT Donaldson,
Dizzy (Doubledown), East Coast Boogiemen, Fred Everything, Nav Bhinder (Bombay Records) and etc.
He tours Japan frequently. He is a bi-monthly resident DJ with his fellow
DJ Marshall Boardman (Tokyo/Nuphoria) at Tokyo's renowned club "La-Fabrique". In July, 2003,
He will be a part of Roy Davids jr's Asia tour and also he will play at Tokyo's hottest
regular house event Nuphoria's one year anniversary. He also plans to tour New Zealand,
Canada, Lithuania, in 2003. In spite of his busy tour schedule, he manages to keep working
on his music productions. He plans to launch his label world wide by the end of 2003.
DJ Rood has been deejaying since 2001 so that makes him naive in this bussiness ? Absolutely not.
DJ Rood is a rookie with pure talent. Originally he was major in architecture. He would never
think about being a dj before he started working at the famous house club called CLUB TOOL
in Seoul, South Korea. When he first started as a dj he was just one of those o.k. djs
because he hadn't faced the beauty of house music yet. And yet when he had the beauty of house
music it's changed his life since then. His architectural sense gives his music solid and well organized.
His deep and groovy house music fascinates audiences day by day and more and more.
He's been playing with famous djs such as Decode, Marshall Boardman, Nav Bhinder, I:Cube,
JT Donaldson, Jay-J, Fred Everything, Alex from Tokyo, East Coast Boogiemen and he will be
playing with the legendary dj Roy Davis Jr. Currently he is a resident dj of CLUB TOOL.
