Jim: What did you do this weekend?

짐: 이번 주말에 뭐 했어?

Roger: Not too much. I just stayed home. And you?

라저: 별 거 없었어. 그냥 집에 있었어. 너는?

Jim: I did pretty much the same.

짐: 나도 너랑 거의 같아.

Roger: I usually sleep in on the weekends.

라저: 난 주말엔 늦잠 자는 편이야.

Jim: I do a little too.

짐: 나도 늦잠을 좀 자.

Roger: During the week I get up at 7 am but on the weekends I get up around 9.

라저: 주중에는 아침 7시에 일어나는데 주말에는 9시쯤 일어나.

Jim: Did you see the Laker game on Friday?

짐: 금요일에 레이커스 경기 봤어?

Roger: Yeah. They won running away.

라저: 응. 압승을 거뒀잖아.

Jim: They sure did. They might win it all again this year like they did last year.

짐: 확실히 그랬지. 작년처럼 올해 또 플레이오프에서 우승할 수도 있어.

Roger: They have the players to do it.

라저: 그럴 만한 선수들을 보유하고 있지.

*pretty much the same: 거의 똑같다.

Jim: “I cleaned up around my house and watched sports all weekend.”

(짐: 난 주말 내내 집안 청소하고 스포츠 중계 봤어.)

Roger: “I did pretty much the same.” (라저: 나랑 거의 같네.)

*win running away: 큰 점수 차이로 이기다.

Jim: “The Lakers scored 135 points.” (짐: 레이커가 135점이나 얻었어.)

Roger: “And the Utah Jazz only scored 68. The Lakers won running away.”

(라저: 유타 재즈는 겨우 68점이었어. 레이커가 대승을 거두었어.)

*win it all: 챔피언십에서 우승하다.

“The Yankees could win it all this year.” (올 해는 양키스가 월드 시리즈에서 우승할 지 몰라.)
