I got really good advice here before, so I hope you can help me out here.
I have two questions. Here is my first one.
How do you control your anger?
When you get so pissed off at someone, how do you deal with it?
I have a hard time controlling my anger.
Church, talking to other people, hobbies... None of those work.
Do you have any good tips on anger management?
Don't tell me I need professional help. I tried that, and it only made me feel worse.
What do you do when you are so angry?
I know I shouldn't act out of my anger.
When millions of Americans acted on their anger, they elected an idiot as president.
I'm not looking for medical advice, I just want to hear how you get over your own anger.
My second question is this.
Is December a peak season in the translation industry?
A few months ago, things were really slow and now there is so much work.
When are the off-season and peak season in this industry?
(Please post your answers in English. I'd really appreciate that.)
첫댓글 1. I walk away from whatever it is. If it's a friend that makes me angry, I "walk away" for a while (stop talking to that friend). If it's the news that piss me off (Trump is a good example), I stop reading the news for a while. It's not a perfect solution but it's what works for me.
2. There is no "industry". You'll have different peaks depending on what you specialize in. For example, academic translations will have different peaks than let's say patents. But generally speaking, there is a thing where companies or government organizations tend to order a lot of translations late in the year
because they still need to burn money. If they don't use their funds, they will get less money the next year. So that's why sometimes you got certain areas that order lots of translations in December.
