Item 226. 逆(역)은 道理(도리)에 극도로 거슬리는 것을 말한다.  Yeok(逆,역) refers to going drastically against reason and moral principles(Dori). 인간의 백가지 행실이 도리를 따르는데 서 이루어지며 도리에 거슬리는 것에서 잃게 되는 것이다.  All human conducts are fulfilled by following moral principles,  and they are utterly lost by going against them. 도리에 거슬리면서 큰 복과 큰 이익을 구하려는 사람은 토기가 한 구멍 속에서 움직이지 않고 가만히 있는 것과 같다.  Those who seek great blessings and immense gains while violating moral principles   are like a rabbit staying perfectly still inside a single burrow.  [Original Text, 원문] 逆은 不順之極也라 (역은 불순지극야라)  "Opposition"(Yeok) is the ultimate extremity of going against the natural order and moral principles.   人之百行이 成于順하고 先于逆하나니 (인지백행이 성우순하고 선우역하나니)  All human conducts are fulfilled by following the righteous path,  but they fall into ruin by going against it; 逆而求大福大利者는 兎止日窟이니라.
