Luke 9:23-24

New Living Translation

Then he said /to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me.                          3                               3                     3

If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.

New International Version

Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.

For [whoever wants to save their life] will lose it, but [whoever loses their life for me] will save it.

The Voice

If any of you want to walk My path, you’re going to have to deny yourself.

If you try to avoid danger and risk, then you’ll lose everything.

If you let go of your life and risk all /for My sake, then your life will be rescued, healed, made whole and full.
