When Jesus interacts with people, He meets them according to their individual needs. Whether healing the sick or casting out demons, He approaches each person differently, addressing them in a way that is specific to them. Likewise, God meets each one of us in a unique way and guides us individually. He never herds us together as families, churches, or groups. Instead, He calls each of us individually with His grace and love, which has been ordained from the beginning, and He has patiently led us to where we are today.
If we want to receive salvation, we need to act like the Samaritan in today’s scripture. The Samaritan helped the injured person not just to save him, but the focus is on his actions. What must we do to gain eternal life and receive salvation?
Today, we must strive to live a day that is not shameful before God. Like the Samaritan, we should do our best and, especially when it comes to people, help and show mercy with all our heart.
