The hardest time I’ve ever had.
Outlineè
1. My opinion: My working experience in an advertising agency is the hardest period I’ve ever gone through.
2. Reasons:
1). Reason 1: The job it’s self.
Support: It’s a kind of very highly professional job.
2). Reason2: Major.
Support: It has nothing to do with my former major.
Bodyè
So far, the hardest time I have ever experienced, I think was the period when I was working for an advertising agency as an AE, that is, account executive, which requires very high-level professional skills. Internally, an AE is responsible for assorting different tasks to every work-assisting departments and making media plans for their customers. Externally, an AE is supposed to contact and negotiate with their clients and make presentations of those media plans as well. Definitely, there was a supervisor of mine, for I was new. But, you know, everyone was busy doing their own business in every minute, so no one was supposed to teach you by holding your hand with every detail. I didn’t either know how to use the program to run out the statistics based on the requirement of our clients, or make out graphs and media plans upon those data, to say nothing of convincing our clients to use the media plans we’ve made through deep analysis. Frankly speaking, I was even not familiar with how to deal with the office programs that time, because I did English as my major in the university, and I became more and more confused about my future as the job which I couldn’t be competent for really had nothing to do with my major. Worries and pressure brought by the job was growing everyday, while the ability of using English was lowering down every minute.
