더불어민주당이 연일 대법관 후보자로 손봉기 대구지법 부장판사를 임명 제청한 조희대 대법원장을 비판하고 있다. 23일에는 “품격을 스스로 내던진 채, 말 그대로 ‘희대(稀代)의 대법원장’으로 전락했다”며 “탄핵당할 충분한 자격과 자질이 있다”고 했다. 민주당 지도부가 조 대법원장에게 자진 사퇴를 요구하는 가운데, 강경파 의원들은 당장 조 대법원장 탄핵 소추에 나서자는 입장이다.
