데살로니가전서1:1

생각만 해도 기도가 절로 나오고 기도하면 감사가 절로 나오는 사람이 있고 교회가 있습니다. 하나님의 솜씨로 빚은 하나님의 작품입니다. 본받고 싶고 따라하고 싶어지지요. 데살로니가 교회가 그랬습니다. 사도가 가장 미안해 했고 맘 졸이며 지켜보았는데, 기대 이상으로 잘 성장 했습니다. 이처럼 교회를 위한 감사는 그 교회가 교회다움을 이룰 때 나온다고 생각합니다. 물론 교회의 존재 목적에 부합하는 모든 일의 배후에는 하나님의 역사가 있습니다.

There are people who pray automatically just by thinking about it, and there are people who pray automatically, and there is a church. It's God's work made by God's skill. You want to imitate it and you want to imitate it. The church of Thessalonii did that. The apostle was most sorry and watched with anxiety, but it grew more than expected. As such, I think that gratitude for the church comes when it achieves church likeness. Of course, God's history is behind everything that meets the purpose of the church's existence.

사도는 데살로니가 교회를 보면서 자신의 이른 공백에도 불구하고 하나님께서 신실하게 역사하셨음을 보고 감사하고 있습니다. 하나님은 목자가 양을 인도하듯 양 무리를 인도하시는 분입니다. 그래서 아시아로 가고자 했던 바울을 막으시고 마케도니아로 인도하셨습니다. 바울은 그곳에서 많은 시련과 어려움을 겪습니다. 하나님의 인도라고 편하고, 안전하고, 저절로 일이 진행되는 것은 아닙니다. 때로는 땀과 눈물의 골짜기를 건너야할 때도 있을 것입니다.

The Apostle is grateful to Thessaloni for seeing that God faithfully has died despite his early absence while watching the church. God is the one who leads the sheep as the shepherd leads the sheep. So he stopped Paul, who wanted to go to Asia, and led him to Macedonia. Paul goes through many trials and difficulties there. God's guidance does not mean that things are comfortable, safe, and things don't go by themselves. Sometimes you have to cross the valley of sweat and tears.

분명히 믿는 것은 하나님이 인도하시면 그 길은 진리의 길이며, 생명의 길이며, 사명의 길인 것을 믿는 것이 성도의 삶일 것입니다. 마케도니아로 건너간 바울은 빌립보 도시에서 감옥에 갇히게 됩니다. 그러나 바울과 실라는 하나님을 원망 하지 않습니다. 오히려 감옥에서 하나님을 찬송합니다. “내 주를 가까이 하게 함은 십자가 짐 같은 고생이나 내 일생 소원은 늘 찬송하면서"를 불렀을지 모르겠습니다. 찬송하던 중에 옥문이 열렸고, 자신을 감시하던 간수와 그의 집안을 구원하는 놀라운 승리를 이루게 됩니다.

Obviously, if God leads, it will be the life of the saint to believe that the path is the path of truth, the path of life, and the path of mission. Paul, who crossed into Macedonia, is imprisoned in the city of Philip. However, Paul and Scilla do not resent God. Rather, they praise God in prison. I may have sung "The pain of bringing my Lord close is like a burden of crosses, but my wishes in my life are always praised." While praising, the jade gate opened, and he achieved an amazing victory in saving the guard who was watching him and his family.

빌립보 감옥에서 나온 바울과 실라는 데살로니가로 갑니다. 이곳에서 3주 동안 있으면서 복음을 전합니다. 그런데 데살로니가에 살고 있던 유대인들이 극성을 부려 바울이 전하는 복음을 반대하고 바울을 죽이려 합니다. 결국 바울은 한밤중에 데살로니가에서 도망하게 됩니다. 데살로니가에서의 바울의 전도사역은 실패인 것처럼 보입니다. 바울도 그렇게 생각하였습니다. 그러나 우리가 알아야 할 것은 그리스도 예수 안에서는 시련은 있으나 실패는 없습니다. 듣든지 아니 듣든지 전도자는 마땅히 전파를 할 것이나 회심 여부는 하나님의 소관입니다.

이전까지 바울에게 데살로니가 교회는 기도 제목이었습니다. 바울은 그곳에 3주밖에 머물지 못했습니다. 바울은 예수 믿는지 얼마 안 되고, 숫자도 몇 명 안 되는 사람들이 반대파 사람들의 횡포와 공격에도 믿음을 지킬 수 있을지 걱정이 되었습니다. 그러나 데살로니가 교회는 바울의 염려와는 다르게 너무나 아름답고 능력 있는 모습으로 신앙생활하고 있다는 소식을 들었습니다. 예수 믿으려면 데살로니가 교회처럼 믿으라는 이 말을 사람들이 하고 있다는 것입니다(7). 바울은 이 소식을 듣고 너무 기뻤습니다.

믿음의 역사를 이루고, 사랑의 수고를 감당하고, 소망으로 인내하였다니 신앙생활은 균형 있게 제대로 한 것입니다. 좌우로 치우치지 않는 믿음의 역사와 함께 균형 있는 모습은 사랑의 수고입니다. 은혜와 평강을 주시는 분, 자기 백성을 택하시고 사랑하시는 분을 믿는 자로 나도 누군가에게 하나님 앞에서 감사의 제목이 될 수 있기를 기도해야겠습니다. 우리가 아는 대로 선택이란 그리스도 예수 안에서의 선택입니다. 그것은 말로만이 아닌 복음의 능력으로, 성령으로, 바울과 그의 동료들의 모범가운데 나타납니다.

To have achieved a history of faith, to bear the trouble of love, and to have persevered with hope is a balanced life. With a history of faith that is not biased left and right, a balanced appearance is the trouble of love. As someone who gives grace and peace and believes in those who choose and love their people, I should pray that someone can be the title of gratitude before God. As we know, a choice is a choice in Christ Jesus. It is the power of the gospel, not just in words, but in the spirit, and appears in the example of Paul and his colleagues.

선택의 결과 데살로니가 교회는 하나님의 말씀을 받아들였고 그로인해 고난을 받았습니다. 마게도냐와 아가야의 모든 믿는 자의 본이 되었습니다. 사도의 입에서 감사가 나온 데살로니가 교회의 특징은 무엇인가? 나는 하나님의 사랑하심이 깨달아 지는가? 그래서 사랑의 수고를 발휘하고 있는가? 성령의 능력과 확신 가운데 복음을 전하고 있는가? 어려움 중에서도 말씀으로 인해 기뻐하고 있는가? 내 삶은 공동체에 어떤 영향을 끼치고 있는가?

주님, 성도는 감사를 통해 하나님께서 하신 일을 기억하고 찬양하는데 제게 찬양이 없는 것을 어찌 하오리까 제가 허탄한 생각을 접고 참되신 주를 기다리는 가운데 오늘도 향기를 발하게 하옵소서.

Lord, the Saints remember and praise what God has done through gratitude, but how can I stop thinking in vain and let the scent shine today while waiting for the Lord who has been true.
