<p>God is the One who exalts the humble. In today's passage, Jesus healed a man with dropsy on the Sabbath and declared that it is fitting to heal on the Sabbath. Furthermore, He instructed us not to sit in the highest seats when invited to a wedding feast, stating that if we sit at the lowest seat, there will be honor when the host asks us to ascend. He said that instead of inviting wealthy neighbors, we should invite the poor, the disabled, and the blind—those who have nothing to repay-to the feast, and that this will be repaid at the resurrection. We praise the Lord who bestows generosity upon the lowly and exalts them.</p>
