The Tree of Life and the Tree of the Fruit of Good and Evil (Gn 2:9)
Main References: Jer 31:27, Mt 13:24-32, Mt 13:36-43, Dn 4
God, who said to tell the next generation the hidden things from of old in parables, came to Jesus and had him speak the hidden things from of old (the secrets of the kingdom of heaven) in parables (Mt 13:10-15, Mt 13:34-35). Hence, the prophecies of the 4 gospels of the New Testament and the prophecies of Revelation were recorded in parables. [Jesus] said that when the time comes [he] will plainly make known these parables (Jn 16:25). When is this time?
It has been approximately 6,000 years since God spoke about the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (the tree of the fruit of good and evil) in Genesis 2, but there was no one who knew of these [trees], and even though it has been 2,000 years since the book of Revelation was written, there was no one who knew of it. If that’s so, then why does one have to know it?
Like the saying that there is one illness but ten thousand cures, man’s illness is one, which is sin; if there is no sin, then all illnesses will disappear too. While there may be ten thousand cures that cure man’s illness, the only thing (cure) that could resolve sin was the blood of the Righteous One, Jesus.
According to the Bible, there is a time when sin can be resolved with Jesus’ blood, and there are also people who will be freed from sin. That is why even though Jesus bore the cross and shed his blood, there is no change yet in the world.
Today, at the time of the fulfillment of Revelation, approximately 2,000 years since [Jesus] shed his blood, there is a spiritual war because of sin and Jesus’ blood. Through this blood of Jesus overcoming, sin dies. At the time when God reigns through His victory, eternal life begins through the blood of righteousness. This is [what it is] to be freed from sin.
Let’s examine the two kinds of trees mentioned above. People have been figuratively likened to trees in Isaiah 5, in Mt 13, and in Rv 22. The two kinds of trees in Gn 2 are also figuratively describing two kinds of entities and talking about two kinds of gods. Jesus spoke about the hidden things from of old (the secrets of the kingdom of heaven) by figuratively likening them to a seed and a tree (Mt 13), and he figuratively likened himself to the true vine (Jn 15:1-5). In Dn 4, the king of Babylon was figuratively likened to a great tree (wild vine), and it was said that the fruits of the tree were food for all (people), and the beasts of the field found shelter under the shade of the tree.
The two kinds of trees are good and evil, and it is life and death. These are the qualities of the two kinds of trees, that is, the two kinds of entities. Conclusively, the two kinds of trees are two kinds of spirits and two kinds of people. The tree of life is God, who is the source of life (Jn 1:1-4), Jesus, the pastor whom God sent (Jn 15:1-5, at the time of the first coming), and the messenger whom Jesus sent (Rv 22:16, at the time of the second coming). The tree of the fruit of good and evil is the devil, who is death (Heb 2:14), the teachers of the law and the Pharisees (Mt 23, at the time of the first coming), and the pastors of Babylon, the kingdom of demons (Dn 4: at the time of the Old Testament, Rv 17-18: at the time of the second coming).
What God and Jesus made is the tree of life in Rv 22. This tree of life is the physical and spiritual 12 tribes. Faith is something that comes from understanding.
