어찌하여 열방이 분노하며 민족들이 허사를 경영하는고

Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain?

세상의 군왕들이 나서며 관원들이 서로 꾀하여

The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers

gather together against the LORD

여호와와 그 기름받은 자를 대적하며

and against his Anointed One.

우리가 그 맨 것을 끊고 그 결박을 벗어 버리자 하도다

"Let us break their chains," they say, "and throw off their fetters.“

하늘에 계신 자가 웃으심이여

The One enthroned in heaven laughs;

주께서 저희를 비웃으시리로다

the Lord scoffs at them.

그 때에 분을 발하며 진노하사 저희를 놀래어 이르시기를

Then he rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying,

내가 나의 왕을 내 거룩한 산 시온에 세웠다 하시리로다

"I have installed my King on Zion, my holy hill.“

내가 영을 전하노라 여호와께서 내게 이르시되

I will proclaim the decree of the LORD : He said to me,

너는 내 아들이라 오늘날 내가 너를 낳았도다

"You are my Son ; today I have become your Father.

내게 구하라 내가 열방을 유업으로 주리니

Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance,

네 소유가 땅끝까지 이르리로다.

the ends of the earth your possession.

주가 오신다. The Lord comes.

장차 형제가 형제를, 아비가 자식을 죽는데 내어주며 자식들이 부모를 대적하여 죽게 하리라 또 너희가 내 이름을 인하여 모든 사람에게 미움을 받을 것이나 나중까지 견디는 자는 구원을 얻으리라 이 동네에서 너희를 핍박하거든 저 동네로 피하라 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 이스라엘의 모든 동네를 다 다니지 못하여서 인자가 오리라 마태복음 10:21-23

"Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. "You will be hated by all because of My name, but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved. "But whenever they persecute you in one city, flee to the next; for truly I say to you, you will not finish going through the cities of Israel until the Son of Man comes. Matthew 10:21-23

보기에 따라서는 이 구절들은 마치 종말을 예언하고 있는 보입니다. 그리고 그 내용은 가족 간의 불화, 핍박에 대한 것들이고 환영보다는 거부와 배척을 이야기하고 있습니다. 이것을 듣는 우리는 선뜻 헌신의 자리에 서게 되지 않게 됩니다. 하지만 이 내용이 그리스도와의 연합의 이해 안에서 회복과 충만을 다루고 있다는 기본 믿음을 간직하면서 과연 우리에게 파송이라는 의미가 무엇인가를 생각해 볼 필요가 있습니다.

누가복음 10:1에는 따로 70인을 세우시고 “친히 가시려는 각동 각처에” 그들을 먼저 보내신다고 표현하고 있습니다. 즉 제자들은 실상 주님이 가시려는 곳에 먼저 가서 준비하는 일을 한다고 볼 수 있습니다. 그리고 이런 상황은 오늘 말씀에 “내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 이스라엘의 모든 동네를 다 다니지 못하여서 인자가 오리라.”는 말씀에 대한 이해를 제공합니다. 즉 인자가 온다는 것을 종말론적으로 이해할 것이 아니라는 말입니다.

본문에는 가족들에 의한 불이해와 핍박이 거론되고 있습니다. 물론 이 때의 가족이 실재하는 부모 형제자매, 혹은 자녀들일 수 있습니다. 그러나 이런 보이는 가족 외에도 우리들에게는 보이지 않는 가족도 있습니다. 가족은 생명 공동체입니다. 나의 생명을 나누어 받은 대상들이라면 그것들은 보이지 않는 것들일 수도 있습니다. 혹은 자신이 공들여 키우고 있는 어떤 성품들일 수도 있습니다.

이러한 것들로부터 오는 핍박을 생각해 보면 파송이 어디 먼 곳에 가는 것을 의미하지 않는다는 사실을 인식할 수 있습니다. 만일 먼 곳에 가는 파송이라면 거기에는 가족들은 함께 하지 않을 터이니 말입니다. 나 자신이 나온바 되고 혹은 생명을 나누어가진 어떤 대상이던지, 아니면 나 자신에 의해 생명처럼 길러온 것들이 내게 등을 돌리고 아니면 최소한 도움을 주는 대신에 해를 끼치는 대상이 되어 있다는 것입니다.

왜 이러한 일들이 파송의 장면에서 거론되는 것일까요? 이 파송이 전도의 현장에 보내지는 것을 의미하지 않기 때문입니다. 그런데 가족의 이런 상황들이 내게 일어난다면 이는 어쩌면 주님의 파송을 받은 것일 수 있습니다. 그리고 장차 주께서 그 상황에 오심으로 모든 것을 회복하게 하실 준비를 하고 있는 것일 수 있습니다. 즉, 제자들이 보내심을 받은 이스라엘 고을들은 실은 우리들의 삶을 말하고 있습니다.

그래서 주님은 한 고을에서 너희를 핍박하면 거기를 피해서 다음 고을로 가라고 하신 것입니다. 이는 전도를 어떻게 해야 하는 지를 말씀하신 것이 아닙니다. 주께서 우리들을 파송하신 곳은 다름 아닌 우리들의 인격입니다. 이처럼 우리의 인격은 하나로 되어 있는 것이 아니라 수많은 고을과 마을들로 구성되어 있습니다. 우리가 알 것은 이 고을들이 주님의 손길과 아버지의 섭리로 다루어지고 있다는 것입니다.

하지만 아직 아무 것도 좋아지거나 회복된 것으로 보이지 않을 수도 있습니다. 우리는 여전히 이 고을에서 저 고을로 피해서 다니고 있다는 느낌을 버릴 수 없습니다. 그러나 주님은 이어서 말씀하십니다. “내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 이스라엘의 모든 동네를 다 다니지 못하여서 인자가 오리라.” 나의 모든 인격이 다 처리 된 후에 주님의 임재를 경험하는 것이 아니라 그렇게 되지 않았더라도 주의 임재가 나의 인격과 삶에서 발견되어질 것입니다.

Depending on how you look at it, these verses seem to be predicting the end. And the content is about family discord and persecution, and it talks about rejection and exclusion rather than welcome. We are not immediately put in a position of commitment when we hear this. However, it is necessary to consider what dispatch means to us while preserving the basic belief that this content deals with recovery and fulfillment in the understanding of the union with Christ.

In Luke 10:1, it is expressed that 70 people are set up separately and that they are sent first "to each place where they want to go." In other words, it can be seen that the disciples actually go first and prepare where the Lord wants to go. And this situation provides an understanding of today's words, "I tell you that the Son of Man will come because I cannot go to all the neighborhoods of Israel." In other words, it is not apocalyptic to understand that the Son of Man is coming.

In the text, incomprehension and persecution by families are discussed. Of course, the family at this time could be real parents, siblings, or children. However, in addition to these visible families, we also have invisible families. Family is a community of life. If it's the objects that share my life, they may be invisible. Or it may be some of the personalities that I am painstakingly nurturing.

If you think about the persecution that comes from these things, you can recognize that passing does not mean going anywhere far. If it's a sending song that goes far, the family won't be there. Whatever I have come out of, what I have shared my life, or what I have raised as a life by myself, are objects that harm me instead of turning my back on me or at least helping me.

Why are these things mentioned in the scene of the Passion? Because this dispatch does not mean being sent to the scene of evangelism. However, if these family situations occur to me, it may be that I have been sent by the Lord. And in the future, the Lord may be preparing to restore everything by misjudging the situation. In other words, the Israeli villages sent by their disciples are actually talking about our lives.

That's why the Lord told you to avoid a village and go to the next village if you were persecuted in one village. I wasn't talking about what to do with evangelism. It is none other than our personalities that the Lord sent us. As such, our personalities are not made up of one, but many villages. What we know is that these villages are treated by the Lord's touch and the father's providence.

However, nothing may appear to have improved or recovered yet. We cannot abandon the feeling that we are still fleeing from one village to the other. But the Lord goes on to say, "I tell you truly that you will not be able to go all over Israel." After all my personalities have been processed, your presence will not be experienced, but even if it has not been, your presence will be found in my personality and life.
