서울중앙지법 형사합의37-2부(오창섭 류창성 장성훈 부장판사)는 27일 내란 중요임무 종사 등 혐의로 재판에 넘겨진 김현태 전 육군 특수전사령부 707특수임무단장(대령)에게 징역 12년을 선고했다.

재판부는 "피고인(김현태 전 단장)이 곽종근(전 특수전사령관)의 지시를 받고 부대원들과 함께 국회로 진입해 의사당을 봉쇄하고 출입을 통제한 사실이 인정된다"면서 "당시 계엄 해제 요구안을 의결하려는 의원들을 저지하거나 끌어내려 한 사정도 인정할 수 있다"고 했다.
