The point of today’s lesson is in verse 11, “For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and the one who humbles himself will be exalted.” This conclusion is absolute.
Anyone who elevates themselves will absolutely be brought low; they will be put to shame. On the other hand, those who humble themselves will absolutely be elevated.
The reason it is called absolute is that, when this parable becomes a reality, it is God who invites us to His church and to His work. If, at that time, we try to take a high position, like someone of great importance, God will not let us stay there but will send us to a lower place. However, if we humble ourselves, God will move us to a higher place.
God is the head of the church, the owner, and the King of kings in the world we live in. Therefore, this law is an absolute law.
