하늘 하늘하고 얇은 드레스를 입고 머리를 흔들어 가며 노래를 부르던 것으로 기억하고 있는 영화

 Streets of Fire 의 주인공 Diane Lane의 모습을 386 세대는 기억 하고 있을 것이다. 

사실 이 영화는 음악을 논외로 한다면 별 내용이 없다.
갱단에 납치된 애인을 주인공이 악전고투 끝에 구하게 된다는 그렇고 그런 내용의 영화인데,

강렬한 록 비트의 음악이삽입 되어 당시의 청춘 들에게 Footloose, Flashdance의 삽입 곡들과 함께 

상당한 인기 몰이를 했었다.

Diane의 섹시한 자태 덕에 가장 인기가 있었던 곡인 Nowhere Fast는 

Jim Steinman 의 곡으로 3인조 보컬 그룹인 Fire Inc 가 불렀었는데, 

이들은 Bonnie Tyler 의 음반에도 백 보컬로 참여 했었던 적이 있다고 알려져 있으며,
이 곡은 80년대의 드라마나 CF 에도 많이 사용 되어 친근한 음악 중의 하나이다.
