1 I really don’t need [to write /to you /about this ministry of giving for the believers in Jerusalem].

글라우디오 왕 때에 큰 흉년이 들어 예루살렘 교회가 어려웠기에 마게도냐 지방의 교회들이 특별 헌금을 하였으며

당시 AD 45–48 경은 예수님 사후 20여 년, 예루살렘이 파괴되기 20여 년 전이라 내전과 파멸의 태풍 전야의 때였고

글라우디오의 아들인 네로가 등장하여 악역을 하다가 죽고 예루살렘 성전을 파괴한 디도의 아버지가 황제가 되었다

3 But I am sending these brothers /to be sure () you really are ready, as I have been telling them, 

and that your money is all collected. I don’t want [to be wrong in my boasting about you].

* 잘못 들으면 헌금을 우회적으로 강요하는 듯한 느낌이 드나 일년 전 고린도 교인이 진정으로 바치기를 약정하였기에

바울이 진심을 믿고 마게도냐 교회에서 자랑도 했는데 바울에게 한 약정은 곧 하나님께 한 것이므로 경솔한 것 아니면

서원/약속을 지켜야 실없는 사람이 안 되는 건 사람 사이에도 마찬가지이므로 바울이 갈 때 준비되어 있기를 부탁했다

4 We would be embarrassed

—not to mention your own embarrassment—

if some Macedonian believers came with me 

and found that you weren’t ready /after all () I had told them!

5 So I thought () I should send these brothers /ahead of me /to make sure () [the gift () you promised] is ready. 

But I want it to be a willing gift, not one /given grudgingly.

But [the one //who plants generously] will get a generous crop.

* 율법의 십일조나 신약의 자원적 헌금의 정신은 감사하는 마음에서 나오는 것이고 많이 심어야 많은 열매도 거둔다

7 You must each decide /in your heart [how much to give]. 

And don’t give/ reluctantly or in response to pressure.

“For God loves [a person //who gives cheerfully].”

 “For 왜냐면 God 하나님께서는 loves 사랑하시기 때문이다 a person 사람을 who 그는 gives 드리는 cheerfully 기분 좋게.”

* 억지로 말고 자원하여 기쁜 마음으로 작정한 헌금을 하라는 바울의 말로 수천 년간 지속된 십일조가 개정 되었는데

율법을 아는 유대인 신자에겐 율법을 깨는 날벼락이며 율법 안 받은 이방인 초신자에게는 헌금 아닌 벌금으로 들리나

모든 걸 가지신 부유하신 하나님께서 가난한 신자에게서 십일조/헌금을 요구하신 동기는 우선 공짜로 받은 것 일부를

감사제로 돌려 드리면 기뻐하셔서 받으신 물질로 가난한 자들을 도우시며 바친 신자에게는 축복으로 되돌려 주시나

물질을 삶/생명의 모든 걸로 믿고 의지하는 물질우상 숭배로 피조물의 피조물 경배라는 저주를 막는 은혜의 방편이며

종이 아닌 자녀로서 하나님의 구원사역에 지체의식을 가지고 참여하여 감히 하나님의 동업자가 되는 영광의 첨단이나

억지로나 인색하게 드린 헌금은 마치 창녀의 헌금처럼 더러워 하나님을 모욕하기에 드려서 해가 되는 헌금은 거부된다

8 And God will generously provide [all () you need]. 

Then you will always have [everything () you need] and plenty /left over /to share with others.

9 As the Scriptures say, “They share /freely and give /generously /to the poor. 

Their good deeds will be remembered /forever.”

10 For God is [the one //who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat]. (사 55:10)

In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce [a great harvest of generosity] /in you.

11 Yes, you will be enriched /in every way /so that you can always be generous. 

And when we take your gifts /to those //who need them, they will thank God.

12 So two good things will result from this ministry of giving

—[the needs of the believers in Jerusalem] will be met, 

and they will joyfully express their thanks to God.

6 Remember this—[a farmer //who plants only a few seeds] will get a small crop. 

But [the one //who plants generously] will get a generous crop.

7 You must each decide /in your heart [how much to give]. 

And don’t give/ reluctantly or in response to pressure.

“For God loves [a person //who gives cheerfully].”

Then you will always have [everything () you need] and plenty /left over /to share with others.

9 As the Scriptures say, “They share /freely and give /generously /to the poor. 

Their good deeds will be remembered /forever.”

10 For God is [the one //who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat]. (사 55:10)

In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce [a great harvest of generosity] /in you.

11 Yes, you will be enriched /in every way /so that you can always be generous. 

And when we take your gifts /to those //who need them, they will thank God.

and they will joyfully express their thanks to God.
