This means that if we do not faithfully serve in our earthly work, God will not entrust us with responsibilities concerning His kingdom. When selecting church workers, it is advised to choose those who are full of the Holy Spirit, wisdom, and faith, and to test whether they live according to God's Word in their home and society before entrusting them with church positions. If we are not honest and faithful with matters outside the church, how can we be entrusted with the work of God's kingdom in the church?
God entrusts His work to those who are faithful and trustworthy even in worldly matters. Additionally, God's managers cannot serve both God and money; there is no middle ground. Therefore, if we are faithful to God's matters, He will give us our portion.
Finally, those who consider themselves righteous and elevate themselves in front of others are hated by God. No matter how right we may be, if we declare our own righteousness, we are already corrupt. God, our Master, will bring us to shame. Therefore, do not claim self-righteousness or elevate yourself in the church. People who think highly of themselves and consider themselves righteous are serving money. At the core, they always prioritize money. Thus, serve only Jesus and be faithful in both worldly and church matters, and also from church to worldly affairs.
