[틈틈이 영어공부] kids would go for it

- 영한 : ~을 좋아/찬성하다, ~할 의향이 있다, 편을 들다, ~을 선택하다, ~을 얻으려고 노력하다.

- 영영 : to try to get (something), to accept or agree to (something, such as a plan or suggestion)

- 다른 의미 : go for someone (~에게 덤벼들다.)

※She went for him with a knife. (그녀가 칼을 들고 그에게 덤벼들었다.)

- 예문 : 

Shall we go for a drink after work? 
퇴근 후에 한잔 하러 갈까?

Sure. I would go for having steak for dinner tonight.
물론이죠. 전 오늘 저녁으로 스테이크라면 좋습니다.

▶ put together (something): ~를 준비하다, 계획하다.
"He took great pains to put together the party."
(그는 파티 준비하느라 애를 많이 썼다.)

▶ pitch in: ~에 일조하다 (돈을 보태어) 돕다
"Let's pitch in and help that lady with those heavy bags she's carrying." 
(모두들 저 여자를 도와서 저 무거운 가방들을 들어줍시다.)
