1. 오늘의 묵상칼럼 : 다 이루었다, 이제 내게로 오라

“예수께서 신 포도주를 받으신 후에 이르시되 다 이루었다 하시고 머리를 숙이니 영혼이 떠나가시니라.” (요한복음 19:30)

  예수님께서 십자가 위에서 마지막으로 선언하신 말씀은 “다 이루었다”였습니다. 이것은 단순히 고난이 끝났다는 의미가 아닙니다. 우리를 구원하시기 위한 주님의 사명이 완성되었다는 선언입니다. 죄로 인해 하나님께 나아갈 수 없었던 우리를 위해 예수님께서 친히 십자가를 지시고 구원의 길을 완성하셨습니다.

그러므로 우리는 하나님 앞에 나아갈 때 더 이상 우리의 힘이나 공로를 의지할 필요가 없습니다. 이미 예수 그리스도께서 이루어 놓으신 은혜를 의지하면 됩니다.

오스왈드 챔버스는 이렇게 묵상합니다.

“하나님은 당신이 기도할 때 당신의 손을 잡아 주실 뿐만 아니라 당신이 손을 잡을 수 있도록 손을 내밀고 서 계십니다.”

이는 우리가 기도할 때 하나님께서 우리의 손을 잡아 주시는 것만이 아니라, 우리가 먼저 그 손을 붙잡을 수 있도록 주님께서 손을 내밀고 계신다는 것입니다.

예수님께서는 십자가에서 “다 이루었다”고 말씀하신 후 우리에게 “내게로 오라”고 초청하십니다.

“수고하고 무거운 짐 진 자들아 다 내게로 오라 내가 너희를 쉬게 하리라.”
(마태복음 11:28)

  주님은 우리가 모든 문제를 해결한 다음 오라고 말씀하지 않으십니다. 지쳐 있어도 오라고 하십니다. 마음이 무너져 있어도 오라고 하십니다. 무엇을 어떻게 해야 할지 알지 못해도 오라고 하십니다.

왜냐하면 구원의 길을 우리가 만들어야 하는 것이 아니라, 예수님께서 이미 완성하셨기 때문입니다.

오늘 우리가 붙들어야 할 것은 우리의 능력이 아니라 “다 이루었다”라고 선언하신 예수님의 완전한 은혜​입니다.

 기도는 내가 하나님을 붙잡는 행위만이 아닙니다. 기도는 이미 나를 향해 내밀고 계신 주님의 손을 발견하고 그 손을 붙드는 것입니다.

오늘도 주님은 말씀하십니다.

“내게로 오라.”

우리의 무거운 짐을 내려놓고, 이미 모든 것을 이루신 예수님의 손을 붙들기 바랍니다. 주님께서 우리의 지친 영혼을 쉬게 하시고, 다시 걸어갈 힘을 주실 것입니다.

2. 오늘의 묵상칼럼(영어버전) : It Is Finished, Now Come to Me

“Jesus said, ‘It is finished.’ With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.”
(John 19:30)

 The final words Jesus spoke from the cross were, “It is finished.” These words mean more than simply that His suffering had come to an end. They were a declaration that His mission of salvation had been completely accomplished.

 Because of sin, we could not approach God on our own. But Jesus willingly bore the cross for us and completed the way of salvation. Therefore, when we come before God, we do not have to depend on our own strength or merit. We can come trusting in the grace that Christ has already accomplished for us.

Oswald Chambers wrote:

 “God not only takes your hand when you pray, but He stands ready with His hand extended so that you can take hold of Him.”

 What a comforting thought. When we pray, God does not merely wait for us to reach out to Him. He is already extending His hand toward us, inviting us to take hold of Him.

After Jesus declared, “It is finished” on the cross, He continues to invite us:

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
(Matthew 11:28)

  Jesus does not tell us to come only after we have solved every problem. He says, “Come” when we are weary. Come when our hearts are broken. Come even when we do not know what to do next.

  Why? Because we do not have to create the way of salvation ourselves. Jesus has already completed it.

  What we need to hold on to today is not our own ability, but the perfect grace of Jesus who declared, “It is finished.”

  Prayer is not merely our attempt to hold on to God. Prayer is discovering that God has already extended His hand toward us and choosing to take hold of Him.

Today, Jesus is still saying:

“Come to me.”

  Let us lay down our burdens and take hold of the hand of Jesus, who has already accomplished everything for us. He will give rest to our weary souls and strength to walk forward again.
