The kingdom of God is like a child. Children come close to Jesus with their parents and simply accept His words. Adults may seem like they’re accepting, but they don’t accept everything; children, even if they appear busy, are listening to it all. For children to accept the gospel of the kingdom is actually radical – they just accept it. Adults filter what they accept, but children take it in just as it is. "Whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all." He’s not talking about the size of one’s faith, but rather says they simply won’t enter the kingdom.
Children try to act on what they hear. This is why Jesus called them close. The church should be full of children and should also have many holy people of God with the attitude of children.
Together with children, whether young or old, we must all accept the kingdom of heaven with this kind of heart.
