사무엘하13장 말씀입니다.

[사랑하는 나의 가족]

1. 이 일 후에 이러한 일이 있었더라. 다윗의 아들 압살롬에게 아름다운 누이가 있었는데 그녀의 이름은 다말이더라.

    다윗의 아들 암논이 그녀를 사랑하나

And it came to pass after this, that Absalom the son of David had a fair sister, whose name [was] Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her.

2. 그녀가 처녀이므로 자기가 그녀에게 무슨 일을 함이 어려운 줄로 생각하고 암논이 자기 누이 다말로 인하여 심히

    괴로워하고 병이 드니라.

And Amnon was so vexed, that he fell sick for his sister Tamar; for she [was] a virgin; and Amnon thought it hard for him to do any thing to her. 

3. 그러나 암논에게 요나답이라 하는 친구가 있었는데 요나답은 다윗의 형 시므아의 아들이요, 심히 간교한 자더라.

But Amnon had a friend, whose name [was] Jonadab, the son of Shimeah Davids brother: and Jonadab [was] a very subtil man.

4. 그가 암논에게 이르되, 왕의 아들인 네가 어찌하여 날마다 여위어 가느냐? 너는 내게 고하지 아니하겠느냐? 하니

    암논이 그에게 이르되, 내가 내 동생 압살롬의 누이 다말을 사랑하노라, 하매

And he said unto him, Why [art] thou, [being] the kings son, lean from day to day? wilt thou not tell me? And Amnon said unto him, I love Tamar, my brother Absaloms sister. 

5. 요나답이 그에게 이르되, 너는 침상에 누워 병든 체하다가 네 아버지가 너를 보러 오거든 그에게 말하기를, 원하건대

    내 누이 다말이 와서 내게 음식을 주게 하고 내 눈앞에서 음식을 차리게 하여 내가 그것을 보며 그녀의 손에서 먹게

    하옵소서, 하라, 하니라.

And Jonadab said unto him, Lay thee down on thy bed, and make thyself sick: and when thy father cometh to see thee, say unto him, I pray thee, let my sister Tamar come, and give me meat, and dress the meat in my sight, that I may see [it], and eat [it] at her hand.

6. 이에 암논이 누워서 병든 체하다가 왕이 와서 그를 볼 때에 왕께 이르되, 원하건대 내 누이 다말이 와서 내 눈앞에서

    납작한 빵 두 개를 만들게 하사 내가 그녀의 손에서 먹게 하옵소서, 하니

So Amnon lay down, and made himself sick: and when the king was come to see him, Amnon said unto the king, I pray thee, let Tamar my sister come, and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat at her hand.

7.그때에 다윗이 사람을 집으로 보내어 다말에게 이르되, 이제 네 오라비 암논의 집으로 가서 그를 위해 음식을 차리라,

    하므로

Then David sent home to Tamar, saying, Go now to thy brother Amnons house, and dress him meat.

8. 이에 다말이 자기 오라비 암논의 집에 이르매 암논이 누워 있더라. 다말이 밀가루를 가지고 반죽하여 그의 눈앞에서

    납작한 빵을 만들어 그 빵을 굽고

So Tamar went to her brother Amnons house; and he was laid down. And she took flour, and kneaded [it], and made cakes in his sight, and did bake the cakes. 

9. 냄비를 가져다가 그 앞에 쏟아 놓았으나 암논이 먹기를 거절하며 이르되, 모든 사람을 내게서 나가게 하라, 하니

    그들이 각각 그를 떠나 나가니라.

And she took a pan, and poured [them] out before him; but he refused to eat. And Amnon said, Have out all men from me. And they went out every man from him.

10. 암논이 다말에게 이르되, 음식을 가지고 침실로 들어오라. 내가 네 손에서 먹으리라, 하니 다말이 자기가 만든

      납작한 빵을 가지고 침실에 들어가 자기 오라비 암논에게 이르러

And Amnon said unto Tamar, Bring the meat into the chamber, that I may eat of thine hand. And Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought [them] into the chamber to Amnon her brother.

11. 그에게 그것을 먹이려고 가지고 갈 때에 암논이 그녀를 붙잡고 그녀에게 이르되, 내 누이야, 와서 나와 함께 눕자,

      하매

And when she had brought [them] unto him to eat, he took hold of her, and said unto her, Come lie with me, my sister.

12. 그녀가 응답하되, 아니니이다. 내 오라버니여, 나를 강제로 욕보이지 마소서. 이스라엘에서 이런 일을 해서는

      아니 되오니 오라버니는 이 어리석은 일을 하지 마소서.

And she answered him, Nay, my brother, do not force me; for no such thing ought to be done in Israel: do not thou this folly. 

13. 나 곧 내가 내 수치를 어디로 가게 하겠나이까? 오라버니로 말하건대 오라버니는 이스라엘 안에서 어리석은 자들

      가운데 하나같이 되리이다. 그러므로 이제 원하건대 왕께 말하소서. 그분께서 나를 오라버니에게 주기를 거절하지

      아니하시리이다, 하되

And I, whither shall I cause my shame to go? and as for thee, thou shalt be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, I pray thee, speak unto the king; for he will not withhold me from thee.

14.암논이 그녀의 목소리에 귀 기울이지 아니하고 다말보다 힘이 세므로 그녀를 강제로 욕보여 그녀와 함께 누우니라.

Howbeit he would not hearken unto her voice: but, being stronger than she, forced her, and lay with her.

15. 그리하고는 암논이 그녀를 심히 미워하였으니 이처럼 그가 그녀를 미워한 그 미움이 전에 그가 그녀를 사랑하던

      그 사랑보다 더 컸더라. 암논이 그녀에게 이르되, 일어나 가라, 하매

Then Amnon hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred wherewith he hated her [was] greater than the love wherewith he had loved her. And Amnon said unto her, Arise, be gone. 

16. 다말이 그에게 이르되, 이유가 없나이다. 나를 쫓아 보내는 이 악은 아까 내게 행한 다른 악보다 더 크나이다, 하되

      암논이 그녀의 말에 귀를 기울이지 아니하고

And she said unto him, [There is] no cause: this evil in sending me away [is] greater than the other that thou didst unto me. But he would not hearken unto her.

17. 그때에 자기를 섬기던 종을 불러 이르되, 이제 이 여자를 내게서 내보내고 그녀를 보낸 뒤에 문을 빗장으로 잠그라,

      하니

Then he called his servant that ministered unto him, and said, Put now this [woman] out from me, and bolt the door after her.

18. 이에 암논의 종이 그녀를 끌어내고 그녀를 보낸 뒤에 문을 빗장으로 잠그니라. 다말이 채색 옷을 입었으니 처녀인

      왕의 딸들은 이런 옷을 입었더라.

And [she had] a garment of divers colours upon her: for with such robes were the kings daughters [that were] virgins apparelled. Then his servant brought her out, and bolted the door after her.

19. 다말이 자기 머리에 재를 뒤집어쓰고 입었던 채색 옷을 찢고 손을 머리 위에 얹고 크게 울며 가니라.

And Tamar put ashes on her head, and rent her garment of divers colours that [was] on her, and laid her hand on her head, and went on crying.

20. 그녀의 오라비 압살롬이 그녀에게 이르되, 네 오라비 암논이 너와 함께 있었느냐? 그러나 내 누이야,

      그는 네 오라비니 지금은 잠잠히 있고 이 일을 마음에 두지 말라, 하매 이에 다말이 자기 오라비 압살롬의 집에서

      처량하게 지내니라.

And Absalom her brother said unto her, Hath Amnon thy brother been with thee? but hold now thy peace, my sister: he [is] thy brother; regard not this thing. So Tamar remained desolate in her brother Absaloms house. 

21. 그러나 다윗 왕이 이 모든 일을 듣고 심히 노하니라.

But when king David heard of all these things, he was very wroth.

22. 자기 형 암논이 자기 누이 다말을 강제로 욕보였으므로 압살롬이 그를 미워하여 좋다 나쁘다 그에게 말하지

      아니하니라.

And Absalom spake unto his brother Amnon neither good nor bad: for Absalom hated Amnon, because he had forced his sister Tamar.

23. 만 이 년 뒤에 에브라임 옆 바알하솔에서 압살롬이 양털 깎는 자들을 모으니라. 압살롬이 왕의 모든 아들을 청하고

And it came to pass after two full years, that Absalom had sheepshearers in Baalhazor, which [is] beside Ephraim: and Absalom invited all the kings sons.

24. 왕께 나아와 이르되, 이제 보소서, 주의 종이 양털 깎는 자들을 모았사오니 청하건대 왕은 신하들을 거느리시고

      주의 종과 함께 가사이다, 하매

And Absalom came to the king, and said, Behold now, thy servant hath sheepshearers; let the king, I beseech thee, and his servants go with thy servant.

25. 왕이 압살롬에게 이르되, 아니라. 내 아들아, 이제 우리가 다 갈 필요가 없나니 네게 누를 끼칠까 염려하노라,

      하거늘 압살롬이 간청하되 그가 가려 하지 아니하고 다만 그에게 복을 빌므로

And the king said to Absalom, Nay, my son, let us not all now go, lest we be chargeable unto thee. And he pressed him: howbeit he would not go, but blessed him.

26. 이에 압살롬이 이르되, 그리하지 아니하시려거든 원하건대 내 형 암논이 우리와 함께 가게 하옵소서, 하매 왕이

      그에게 이르되, 그가 너와 함께 갈 이유가 무엇이냐? 하되

Then said Absalom, If not, I pray thee, let my brother Amnon go with us. And the king said unto him, Why should he go with thee?

27. 압살롬이 간청하므로 그가 암논과 왕의 모든 아들을 그와 함께 보내니라.

But Absalom pressed him, that he let Amnon and all the kings sons go with him.

28. 이제 압살롬이 이미 자기 종들에게 명령하여 이르기를, 이제 너희는 암논의 마음이 포도주로 인해 즐거워할 때를

      잘 보았다가 내가 너희에게, 암논을 치라, 하거든 그를 죽이라. 두려워하지 말라. 내가 너희에게 명령하지

      아니하였느냐? 용기를 내고 용맹스럽게 행하라, 하였으므로

Now Absalom had commanded his servants, saying, Mark ye now when Amnons heart is merry with wine, and when I say unto you, Smite Amnon; then kill him, fear not: have not I commanded you? be courageous, and be valiant. 

29. 압살롬의 종들이 그가 명령한 대로 암논에게 행하매 왕의 모든 아들이 일어나 각각 자기 노새를 타고 도망하니라.

And the servants of Absalom did unto Amnon as Absalom had commanded. Then all the kings sons arose, and every man gat him up upon his mule, and fled. 

30. 그들이 길에 있을 때에, 압살롬이 왕의 모든 아들을 죽여 하나도 남기지 아니하였다, 하는 소문이 다윗에게 이르매

And it came to pass, while they were in the way, that tidings came to David, saying, Absalom hath slain all the kings sons, and there is not one of them left.

31. 이에 왕이 곧 일어나 자기 옷을 찢고 땅에 눕고 그의 신하들도 다 옷을 찢고 옆에 서니라.

Then the king arose, and tare his garments, and lay on the earth; and all his servants stood by with their clothes rent.

32. 다윗의 형 시므아의 아들 요나답이 응답하여 이르되, 내 주께서는 그들이 그 청년들 곧 왕의 아들들을 다 죽인

      것으로 생각하지 마옵소서. 오직 암논만 죽었나이다. 그가 압살롬의 누이 다말을 강제로 욕보인 날부터 압살롬의

      작정에 의해 이 일이 결정되었나이다.

And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah Davids brother, answered and said, Let not my lord suppose [that] they have slain all the young men the kings sons; for Amnon only is dead: for by the appointment of Absalom this hath been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar. 

33. 그러하온즉 이제 내 주 왕께서는 그 일을 마음에 두지 마옵시고 왕의 모든 아들이 죽은 줄로 생각하지 마옵소서.

      오직 암논만 죽었나이다, 하니라.

Now therefore let not my lord the king take the thing to his heart, to think that all the kings sons are dead: for Amnon only is dead.

34. 그러나 압살롬은 도망하니라. 파수를 보던 청년이 눈을 들어 보니, 보라, 자기 뒤에서 산허리 길로 여러 사람이

      오더라.

But Absalom fled. And the young man that kept the watch lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came much people by the way of the hill side behind him.

35. 요나답이 왕께 이르되, 보소서, 왕의 아들들이 오나이다. 주의 종이 말한 대로 되었나이다, 하니라.

And Jonadab said unto the king, Behold, the kings sons come: as thy servant said, so it is. 

36. 그가 말을 마치매, 보라, 즉시 왕의 아들들이 이르러 소리를 높여 우니 왕과 그의 모든 신하도 심히 비통하게

      우니라.

And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of speaking, that, behold, the kings sons came, and lifted up their voice and wept: and the king also and all his servants wept very sore. 

37. 그러나 압살롬은 도망하여 그술 왕 암미훗의 아들 달매에게로 갔고 다윗은 날마다 자기 아들로 인해 애곡하니라.

But Absalom fled, and went to Talmai, the son of Ammihud, king of Geshur. And [David] mourned for his son every day. 

38. 이같이 압살롬이 도망하여 그술로 가서 거기서 삼 년 동안 거하니라.

So Absalom fled, and went to Geshur, and was there three years.

39. 다윗 왕의 혼이 압살롬에게로 나가기를 열망하였으니 이는 암논이 이미 죽었으므로 암논에 관하여 왕이 위로를

      받았기 때문이더라.

And [the soul of] king David longed to go forth unto Absalom: for he was comforted concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead.
