(서울=연합뉴스) 설승은 기자 = 이재명 대통령은 12일 국내 컨테이너선으로는 처음 북극항로 시범 운항에 나선 팬스타 아크로호가 영국에 도착한 데 축하의 뜻을 전했다.

이 대통령은 이날 엑스(X·옛 트위터)에 "역사적인 북극항로 첫 길을 연 선장과 선원 여러분에게 축하와 감사를 드린다"며 "팬스타 아크로호의 무사 귀환과 성공적 북극항로 개척을 함께 빌어달라"고 적었다.

이 대통령은 이어서 올린 게시글에 팬스타 아크로호의 기항 소식을 전한 전재수 부산시장의 글을 링크하고 "전재수 부산시장님과 부산 시민 여러분, 해양수도 부산의 꿈과 본격적인 북극항로 개척을 응원한다"고 밝혔다.

그러면서 "약속드린 대로 강력한 추진과 지원으로 북극항로 시대, 해양 수도 부산을 앞당기겠다"고 강조했다.

지난달 22일 부산을 떠난 팬스타 아크로호는 출항 21일 만이자 한국 시간으로 이날 오전 5시께 첫 기항지인 영국 펠릭스토우항에 입항했다.

한편, 이 대통령은 다음 달부터 소득과 관계 없이 양육비 선지급제를 이용할 수 있다는 점을 소개한 김경자 청와대 사회수석의 글을 재게시하고 "이것 정말 중요하죠? 많이 알려주시길"이라고 적었다.

SEOUL, Sept. 12 (Yonhap) -- A South Korean container ship arrived in Britain on Saturday after sailing through the Arctic route, marking the first such voyage by a Korean container ship to Europe, the maritime ministry said.

The PanStar Acro departed from the southeastern port city of Busan on Aug. 22, entered the Northern Sea Route on Aug. 31 and arrived in Felixstowe, Britain, its first European port of call, 21 days after its departure.

It is scheduled to call at Rotterdam in the Netherlands on Sept. 13 and Gdansk in Poland on Sept. 16 before returning to Busan on Oct. 12, according to the ministry.

President Lee Jae Myung congratulated the ship on its first voyage through the Arctic route.

"I congratulate and thank the captain and crew members who pioneered this historic Arctic route," Lee wrote on social media platform X. "Let's wish the PanStar Acro a safe return and a successful exploration of the Arctic route."
