When Jesus told Zaccheus He would stay at his house, “Zaccheus received Him greatly.” Few people in the Bible are noted to have “gladly received” Jesus into their homes.
Although Zaccheus, the tax collector, was scorned by others, he listened to Jesus and acted on His words. This action brings personal transformation and the power to win people over.
When Jesus said that Zaccheus is a “son of Abraham,” it was not about ancestral lineage. It meant that he was part of Abraham’s covenant; he was saved.
