형용사 enough to V : to V할 만큼 충분히 형용사한

어떤 사람도 강하지 못했다. / 그를 제압하기에 충분히[제압할만큼]

➔ 어떤 사람도 강하지 못해서 / 그를 제압하지 못했다.

= He was so strong｜that anyone could not subdue him.

➔  too ~ to + RV 너무 ~ 하여 그 결과 ~ 할 수 없다

= He was too strong｜for anyone to subdue him.

• This stone is too heavy for me to lift. 이 돌은 너무 무거워서 들어 올릴 수가 없다

= This stone is so heavy that I cannot lift it. .

• The report is too good to be true. 소문이 너무 좋아서 믿어지지 않는다

• He was too much frightened 〔too tired〕 to speak. 너무 놀라서〔지쳐서〕 말도 할 수 없었다

  ㉯ ~enough to… [정도]= so ~ that+can …[결과] <매우 ~해서 …하다.> <…할 정도로 ~하다.>

◉ He is tall enough to reach the ceiling. (그는 천장에 닿을 정도로 키가 충분히 크다.)

= He is tall that he can reach the ceiling. (그는 키가 커서 천장에 닿을 수 있다.)

◉ The problem is easy enough for him to solve. (그 문제는 그가 풀 수 있으리만큼 충분히 쉽다.)

= The problem is so easy that he can solve it. (그 문제는 대단히 쉬워서 그는 그것을 풀 수 있다.)
